Thoth-5 of swords-defeat

The 5 of Swords-Defeat occupies the position of Geburah, the 5th Sephiroth on the Tree of Life named SEVERITY.

One may ask, why is there a need for such a nasty- Intelligent-judgmental- corrective intellect if we are the Child of a loving Divine Creative? Ok, this Severity is easily explained as "tough love" and/or as cutting away the unworthy bits of your self-identity, so that you are returned to the original you; the original child-soul that she envisioned and lovingly manifested. What many fail to understand, is that all the definitions given you, by your society, belief systems and cultures are not you, because YOU HAVE TO BE KNOWN INTO EXISTENCE BY YOUR DIVINE CREATIVE! In other words, you have been already made from His-Wisdom and Her Understanding of the self-information that formed you. Data must be understood to become Information, and since you are a Psyche/Soul, not a body, the only way for you to act on self-knowledge is in-form-action.

Despite what you were indoctrinated to believe, truth is made manifest- it is not sought-----------you never came seeking your truth, nor to find out who you are, obviously the Soul already Knows that! By putting knowledge into form, the Divine Creative made you manifest! You are already Defined into being, not a being who seeks definition as you are aware of self and know its potentiality; for this planet and this cosmos, are not a courtroom but rather a laboratory. Rather they are a workplace, where self-aware Psyches build their Truth! You are an image of God who proves definition by making it manifest! You give definition to things, so that they may be cataloged and used as communication among the Universal Collective Unconscious. Ideas, are what you build into things, therefore thoughts are the first material of creation and are definitions used to define the idea of I AM Me. Hence, you are not "thought", you are an architect of thought/of Self. Hence the Tower of Babble still stands or at least has been rebuilt, for babble is exactly what you have in the artificial you that you call a brain. Words of man can not define nor build the Truth of I AM. I Am is your first name. but you the "me" doesn't realize that because of the divide and conquer dogma of the Patriarchy. You body has been divided from you soul and therefore, the Spirit.

Geburah, helps us remember who we really are, and not what we pretend and/or believe ourselves to be. The 5 of Swords, is known as Defeat, or Lord of Defeat. Being that Venus is in Aquarius here, the normal disruption of Geburah's strength, is not the cause of disaster! This is because weakness is the cause of the Five of Swords disaster! A weakness brought on by pacifism, and enfeebling sentiment; maybe even treachery: the Treachery of propaganda-by the ruler of definition- the Patriarch. People who defeat their own Divinity land/or "I" living behind veils of indoctrination and dogma become only slaves to those who "rule" their definition. The Patriarch needs slaves to build a world where 3 men have more money than 150 Million people. Enlightened people would never dedicate their lives to enslavers. Here then, the flesh, with its fear of death/discomfort has defeated the Love of the Soul.

The hilts of the swords form the sinister image of the inverted pentagram; where the body fears have conquered the Will by the treachery of indoctrinated sensation. Feeling fearful, is often more sensual than feeling willful, since the ever present doubt brought into belief by indoctrination, keeps the will from collecting into force.

Notice: that none of the hilts are the same, implying many different weak thoughts assaulting the blue Rose of Wisdom, that was at once whole in the 4, is now all cut to pieces in the 5. Wisdom is scattered to the winds of emotional defeat and blood of self-torture and the poison of shame drips from the thoughts/swords. You are taught that you must seek the Divine; However, the act of seeking declares you have no connection. To seek is to not have. The Patriarch is clever. But I agree, like many, with the Christ, who said in the Nag Hammadi Library Gnostic Text(2); Jesus said, "Let him who seeks continue seeking until he finds. When he finds, he will become troubled. When he becomes troubled, he will be astonished, and he will rule over the All."

We are told by the Patriarchy to "pursue happiness", hence, we buy, struggle with soul destroying jobs, and pay large amounts of taxes, to have the "right" to "pursue happiness"; a right that must be bought and sold. Then one day, hopefully before the death-bed, we become troubled by finding that pursuit of happiness never stops as the next "new best thing" keeps us running for the phantom future happiness and then after a deep depression (Dark Night of The Soul), we discover that happiness is the union of Spirit-Mind-Body, and that Happiness never fled from us. Happiness is to be "Yourself". And as your original I AM Me, you have always been the ruler over All. That even your defeat by another is a lie, for your indoctrinated self-thought is what defeated your happiness. We are taught to be more tragic than magic. Yet it is the Magic of I AM that created you as its Self.

The 5 of Swords is Geburah in Yetzirah, a severe Mars influence, is now in the Astral World. Yet, Mars is the consort of Venus in mythology, and mythology is not a story telling a lie, but rather a story relating a truth, so there is also a vulnerability of capitulation here. The Blue Rose of Venus (Wisdom), which is also the Rose of the Cross, can't take the buffeting of the Martian assault. Along with the 9 and 10 of Swords, the 5 is one of the most destructive events in the deck. Here, loss, defeat, failure where contest is decided and finished against the person...by their indoctrinated and dogmatic beliefs.

the tarot of the spirit-five of wind-fear

The Tarot of The Spirit- Five of Wind-Fear, depicts a painful , frightening situation. Here one fears this situation without realizing that the only thing to fear is fear itself. You are living in a trap you made for yourself, by living only in the past and not the clarity of the eternal Now. Here your own walls imprison you, it is time to build a bridge.

The five swords are pointed towards the dark. They seem stuck and unable to penetrate to the next level of intelligence. The Swords are divided-separated, shadows of shadows, phantoms of self, where there is really only one Sword/Mind, of I Am-One Self. This is the power of divisionism, were self-reflection is scattered to the winds. Here, dead butterflies and monsters float in the dark. All built out of your own divine creative power to imagine. However, across the top of the sword hilts is away out as they form stepping stones across the abyss. There is only one path out of fear, and it is the path of love. Above all things, know thyself. Love built you as its in-form-action.

When the 5 of Swords card or the Five of Wind- is thrown during a reading, the querent is:

  • Usually caught in the fears of the past.
  • They are experiencing a self-defined prison of negative, self-defeating beliefs.
  • Here is defeat on a mental level, bringing humiliation and weakness.
  • The suggestion here is to give up fighting, swallow your pride and acknowledge your limitations, and then proceed in a new direction. We are only defeated when we stop seeking another way.
  • So there is no 5 week or 5-month period here, since it is the querent's own mental negativity that is involved here, and they could change perspective at any time just by introspection.

If ill defined by the surrounding cards:

  • Harm.
  • Evil. (live spelled backwards).
  • Turn for the worst.
