dreams of Gaia tarot- XII the seneschal

The Dreams of Gaia Tarot- 12 of Earth: *The Seneschal, symbolizes service to royalty, and country. The Dreams of Gaia, uses the Medieval Page, which is an androgynous symbol much like traditional tarot. In the Western Myths of Pan, he was given this title of Seneschal for he served Gaia and the Green Man, Royalty of the Forest. Pan was a seneschal for he was a trusted servant who had/has access to and the control over, the Lord's or Lady's domain.

Seneschal - Wikipedia

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seneschal

Most commonly, a seneschal was a senior position filled by a court appointment within a royal, ducal, or noble household during the Middle Ages and early Modern period – historically a steward or majordomo of a medieval great house.

With such responsibility, the Seneschal's duties were many and he held the keys to the Castle and dungeon. Therefore, he was respected by some and feared by others. This also made him both judge and mediator with the halls, and lands of the kingdom. The seneschal also held the keys to the treasury, and paid his master's debts and collected the taxes of the land. One can lay all these attributes on the mythology of Pan, the fertile and fecund force of the Wilderness.

Being a seneschal obviously held responsibility but also perils, for if his loyalty falters or he falls under suspicion, he would lose all, even his head. Yet, the Seneschal Card represents nothing so exacting. In the modern world, it represents a person in service to the one and not the many. He/or She is task with a multifaceted role service, where every task is preformed with care. This person, is a master organizer who possesses both intelligence and a quick mind, when dealing with earthly affairs. Hence, the Seneschal Card represents a willingness, or necessity, to obey the rules, or directions of those in charge, and to put aside personal beliefs and opinions. Also, one whose power is borrowed from the authority they serve.

Therefore, the Gaia 12 of Earth, depicts art of the fecund- green Forest. The horned image of a Satyr and/or Pan the Seneschal of the forest. The sword of law on its forehead, and the keys to the kingdom hanging from its decorated horns. The image of the dog implies loyalty and the ants imply the busy, hard worker. The dark sky, implies that there is something to be careful with here, for it is dark in the forest; a bit of caution is implied.

When the 12 of Earth card is thrown in a divination, it implies:

  • Service to a Higher Purpose.
  • Loyalty to authority.
  • Speak for others.
  • Is your power real or borrowed?
  • Use personal power wisely.
  • Blind loyalty makes one blind.

I have stated over and over, that Tiphareth is The Central Sun and/or our Solar Self; the Soul/Psyche of our conscious energy expression into incarnation. Tiphareth is called -Beauty, and is as High as our Personal Self-Conscious can go up the Tree. This is simply because when our personality reaches the Soul, the Soul reabsorbs it and operates the body directly. This state of Consciousness is known in the Mysteries, as the Christ, or Buddha consciousness and it brings the body into a "higher" state of vibratory life force that we know as "unconditional Love”, also changing the physiology by doing so. However, only through diligent meditative techniques and ritual divination is this conscious state possible to physically experience. The Soul is a collective of persona's , both alike and opposite, that has been created since the beginning of Light. The wisdom in such a collective can't even be approached by any brain on earth.

Thoth- PRINCE OF DISKS:

The Prince of Disks (Also called the Prince or Knight of Pentacles, in other Tarot Decks), is the Prince of the Chariot of Earth. Prince and Emperor of the Gnomes and is attributed to the last Decan of Aries and the first two Decan of Taurus.

This Prince is the Air of Earth and/ or Specific Air of Primal Earth. The Chariot of the Prince of Disks is pulled by the Bull of Taurus, demonstrating this attribute.

Being Air of Earth, the Prince is Intelligible Earth, as Air is Mind. Thus he brings incredible energy to physical matters. Such intelligent Earth, is the instinctual mind that shows its incredible focus on building, as in bees, ants, etc.

Because the Prince of Disks is so active, his armor is light and nonrestrictive. On his head is the Bull helmet an animal sacred to the earth and a symbol of fertility. The disk in his hand is an orb resembling a globe, marked in agricultural mathematical symbols. The orb- scepter that is surmounted by a cross is a symbol of the Great Work accomplished. The Great Work being manifesting the Higher States of Conscious Energy, in the lower states of consciousness below, on earth; by physical focus and attention to work. What many of us don't understand that if you empty your brain of random thoughts, while only focusing on the task at hand, you are meditating! Even a daily commute in your car, with radio off, and doing nothing but "hands on the wheel" driving, while paying absolute attention to traffic, is a meditation! Hence, The Prince of Disks intelligence knows that multi-tasking, is just another way to do nothing well.

The Prince of Disks, is the Pan or Green man force of Celtic mysteries, whose job it is to bring forth, from the Earthly element, that Vegetation, which is the sustenance of Spirit itself. The Mother Earth makes the form, he enlivens it and enforces the design.

The Character of the Prince of Disks personality, is methodical, competent, ingenious, enduring, trustworthy, cautious, and imperturbable. All the qualities of a very capable manger and a steadfast preserving worker. Very good at horticulture and hard, patient work.

This Prince of Mind and Earth, is ingenious as he or she, constantly seeks new ways of using common things. Always adapting the circumstance to his slow and methodical purpose. This is to say, that his plans are well thought out. His emotions are subdued, thus he may appear insensitive and maybe even dull and slow of wit. But this is because of misinterpretation of his mental activity of which he won't devote to ideas that he understands to be beyond his expertise. Simply, the reaction of others to this stalwart character, depends entirely on their temperament and not his. The Court cards are not necessarily about the sexual appointment of a body, but about the Character of the Persona, that runs it.

Again, the Prince of Disks represents the airy part of Earth (Air is Consciousness) and thus; is the intelligible part of Earth. The Prince of Disks rules the zodiac from the 21st degree of Aries to the 20th degree of Taurus, thus we have the ox pulling the chariot as the "sacred animal of Earth". The Prince of Disks is wearing a helm crowned with the Bull of Taurus. In his left hand is the Globe of Earth with geometric symbols implying agriculture (which is an invention of Binah-the Great Mother represented by the Queen of Disks) and in his right hand is the orb- scepter adorned with the equal armed cross (Earth-Air-Water-Fire) a symbol of the Great Work (Life) accomplished. He is the stable but active force of the "Green man" as he brings forth from the Earth, vegetation which is the substance that Spirit enlivens. He is barely clothed because we have a "pan-force" here who is both fertile and lustful...like a bull. He is Earth's Husband which in the Anglo-Saxon, means 'keeper of her property". He is a Care-taker of Her Forms. A Seneschal to the Goddess that is Earth.

This Personality is one of great energy brought onto practical matters. Such a personality is energetic, enduring, steadfast, a capable manager, and tireless worker, with many qualities that are shown in a character that is competent, ingenious, thoughtful, cautious, trustworthy, and imperturbable. On a consistent basis, this one invents new uses for common things and adapts one's circumstances to their purpose in a slow deliberate, well thought out manner. Thus, some may think such a one, slow and stupid, to their peril, for this one is almost totally lacking in emotion and is somewhat insensitive but is very clever. Most often, such a personality, makes no effort to delve into ideas they believe that are beyond their scope, and may find the more "esoteric" types aggravating. The Prince of Disks personality is slow to anger, but once angered---you have an implacable charging bull to contend with and physically this person can be quite "bull-like" and/or strong. It is may seem impossible to differentiate between "Well dignified" or "ill dignified" characteristics of this Card. Suffice it to say, that if "ill dignified" (surrounded by Lower emotional cards) that the quality and quantity of his character is somewhat degraded. To the point of being duller, slower, and even less empathetic than the bull of earth.

This personality is often referred to in the common vernacular as "the salt of the Earth" because their character is so trustworthy. And like all "slow quiet types", is easy to get along with...but terrible in anger. Hence, this is a force of Nature, that should be respected and loved in all of us and a very necessary "power of the body" needed by Spiritual-Life itself. The Power of Spirit must be aligned with the Power of the Body----to become a "Holy Spirit"...for those Souls who malign the body, proclaiming its nature as evil, are doomed to failure in the Great Work. Life obviously adores the Body----------and we are a Spiral Energy Expression of Life (Spirit and Spiral come from the same Greek root word Spiro-To breathe or breath). It's okay to adore your body---as long as you know that all bodies "are another way to be Spiritual Self-Awareness" and that the purpose of Spirit is to make bodies live in the name of I AM!

When the Prince of Disks, is thrown during a reading, depending on the position and the surrounding cards, implies:

  • Issues of physical activity. Such as, body building, muscle tone, sports, and a steel like resolve to move through issues and remove blocks.
  • The querent or person important to them, is in a kind of Moving meditation, a focus on the material world, experiencing personal balance and productivity.
  • Becoming or is a builder who works steady towards their goals and being singularly focused on establishing security.
  • The querent, or important person, is both kind and trustworthy and will complete a long and laborious task, "come hell or high water".
  • There is suggested a Mastery here, of change and harvest procured by knowledge and productivity.

If ill defined by the surrounding cards, the Prince of Disks implies:

  • Slowness, plodding and seemingly dull witted.
  • Stubbornness
  • Phlegmatic.
  • Narrow of mind.
  • Stagnation.
