dreams of Gaia tarot- IX of fire

The Dreams of Gaia Tarot- 9 of Fire, depicts a Pan or Gilgamesh like image of a strong fiery and fruitful being. Hence, the card represents attainment, and the ease that comes with knowing what to do with the knowledge and skills learned through hard work, study, experience and putting learning into practice. It symbolizes the fruition that comes from putting knowledge to work. Here is a perfect idea of power, which means "the ability to do work" and that ability comes from dedication. This one has found and put to use, the mental, emotional and physical processes that work for him. Therefore, this card reminds us to do the same. Workouts build strength, both mentally and physically and workouts take determination, knowledge and commitment before they become easy.

Therefore, this is a affirming card that represents a life motion of powered by confidence. Not the confidence of a dreamer and/or believer, but the confidence of a doer! There is no seeking of praise and glory here, for just as Gilgamesh, they just love the adventure of doing to the best of their ability. Those who do the best that they are able, do so because they understand and know their craft and have pride in what they do....as they have pride in doing themselves. They stay strong, for they don't carry around loads of expectation that weigh down the soul as they detach from the task done and move on to the next task with excitement, care, and attention.

This card may also remind us that "ease", sometimes comes hard and isn't necessarily about life being easy. However, we can discover that we can freely make a choice to not make life complicated, for it is only 5 minutes of breath. 'Breath' is the meaning of the word Spirit, which comes from the Greek word Spiro, to breathe and is the Will to be. Breath is the fiery power that seems "easy", yet it comes hard to a child born. We are naturally Souls of great determination, will and strength. However, many of us have been taught to be weak of will, as a way to "get along" with our "betters". Even our Spirit is psychologically attacked through the media. The vile act of smoking cigarettes is a prime example, as the Prana/Life force is in the breath, but a fruitless death is in the cigarette as the burning gases and tars coat our lungs so that they can't receive the oxygen they need, as well as the Pranic forces that come with breathing, making a physical and psychological block towards spiritual progress.

Weakness of Will, requires us to seek "saviors", be they addictions, or fanatics with messianic fixations. And that perceived weakness of will is supported by the media, which is but the Patriarchy's medium for propaganda and psychological injury. Pills to make you active, pills to make you sleep, pills to calm you down and pills to cause you to eat less, etc . etc.; are just more examples of a slave's the need for"saviors". Therefore, throw the monkey off of your back and become the pride of a Powerful Soul, who knows that the fruitful life comes from the first skill to we all need to learn which is the craft of "Being you". It's not hard, just start something simple, like a daily Pranayama breathing exercise which will begin the process, and it isn't difficult, but does require determination and will to practice it daily. Thoth-9 of Wands -Strength

The 9 of Wands represents Yesod-foundation- in Aziluth; it is The Lord of Great Strength. Its Planet is the Moon and the sign is Sagittarius.Angels of the Decan are: Yirthiel, and Sahiah.

The 9 of Wands-Strength, is the influence of Yesod in the World of pure spirit. The Lunar powers do acquire great strength in Sagittarius, but being the Moon, there are two sides to this "coin". Meaning, that successes are usually acquired by strife, apprehension and moments of insecurity.

The 9 of Wands also emphasizes the influencing strength of Woman/ Moon in this card. The Thoth Wand is a stylized Sun-phallus; the Womb wields the phallus. This is not a new concept as the ancient Egyptians believed that the Moon pulled the Sun across the sky. This belief wasn't because of ignorance, but because life is begun in Wombs who attract Phalises to do their bidding.

The good health and strength of this card is certain, but it harbors doubt about the later course it may take. It is best to know the aphorism: "Change is Stability", when viewing this card. For Change is required in life, as well as, in progress.

The 9's may be considered the best that can be obtained from the type of forces involved, when regarded from a practical- material standpoint.

The Thoth 9 of Wands, shows 8 background Wands as Arrows (Sagittarius influence) and one Master Arrow in the forefront, sporting a Sun at one end as a driving force, and a Moon at the other end as its point. This implies that Sagittarius, the archer, joins the Sun and the Moon, and that the Greatest Strength is the Balance of this coupling flow. The flow of Electric Male and Magnetic Female receptivity. Together, all that is Living Form, is from this flow and reception.

When we, as personalities, hermetically marry both the Male- Will to Force and the Female -Will to Form within, it is called a "Oneness" and it reveals all the 4 Worlds in a communion of the Sun (Father) and the Moon (Mother) that never ceases as fruitful Life. The Tenfold flames of the card, imply that the Energy of the Solar Logos, is directed downward into the "reflection of being'.

When the 9 of Wands-Strength is thrown during a reading, it implies:

  • Internal strength, recovery from illness, potency and spiritual force.
  • Yet, it is Moon in Yesod, so one may have to defend their ideas, but because of Sagittarius, will not lack the strength to do so.
  • The 9 of Wands also implies that energy is brought back into balance, thus health restored.
  • Creatively, this card implies a peek experience in ability were one sees clearly and accurately, leading to solid creations that will have the strength to endure over time.
  • Here the Energy of the Spirit is rapid, interchanging both electric and magnetic energy, taking whatever action is necessary to restore balance and thus enable the Mind. (Moon is ruler of the Subconscious).
  • Intellectual and emotional harmony.

If ill defined by the surrounding cards:

  • Contradictions.
  • Physiological injuries.
