Above all things, know thyself!
Thoth- 2 of Disks-Change
#2. Through me its unfailing wisdom takes form in thought and word.
The Declarative Tarot-Layers of Presence-No. 2-Limitless Change (2 of Disks)
The pastel art on this stunning Thoth card represents the Harmony of Change. Now this may seem irrational to the survival/subconscious mind, who thinks that security is constant control of situations; stability is more important than change to the animal. But that is again the illusion of thought, for no day is the "same day". We are told, by the few who wish to rule the many, to think that carbon, in a crystalline stasis, is the most valuable or one of the most valuable forms to have. We know this valuable state of carbon as a diamond. Funny thing about diamonds...They don't live, and they are more prolific on earth than any other gemstone! As evolutionary forms of life, diamonds fail to live and are useless unless used in manufacturing as tools for cutting and sanding. Yet carbon atoms are the foundation of all living things on earth because they are the most adaptable of atoms! What is most valuable to Life (Spirit-photon) is living carbon atoms made of bio-protons that are malleable enough to change by the mechanism of the union of opposites; a mechanism that is called the Law of Attraction that requires communication and/or intimacy! To make the motion of life changelessness is impossible---for in the state of our being in control life will always be the exception to the rule of stability. This is easily seen by understanding entropy and/or the second law of thermodynamics which states "... All things proceed from order to disorder." Chaos is the event that is behind the universal mechanism of change, as it is necessary to constantly change form and thereby, disallow complete entropy. Creation is the art of Communion and/or sexuality. Hence, the Carbon Atom, which will mate with most other atoms, is called the universal "Harlot".
rider-Waite-smith-key 2-the Magician
On the Thoth Card, the Serpent in the form of a vertical figure eight, is the ancient sign of infinity (Ouroboros--the serpent that eats its own tail is another one) and shown on the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot, above the head of the Magician as a horizonal figure 8 known as the lemniscate. Ouroboros, the serpent that eats its own tail, is a symbol that illustrates the knowledge that Life/Organic Matter, eats itself to stay alive. Order is also eaten by Chaos which causes a necessary reordering of energy which is a flowing transformation that in the world of atoms keeps some carbon atoms from forming into static diamonds by flowing back and forth from opposites! The serpent figure is crowned, on the Thoth 2 of Disks, for that is the symbol of the 1st Sephiroth- Kether, on the Tree of Life and the shape of the Serpent is in the form of the lemniscate (Greek for "ribbon") and/or the infinity symbol that is usually shown above the Magus or Magician's head in traditional tarot. This is also the symbol for 0=2 which is also easily seen in the yin yang symbol.
The Declarative Tarot-Layers of Presence-No, 2- Limitless Change
The Declarative Tarot-Layers of Presence-No. 2- Limitless Change is about the change one goes through when they find errant flow in their Spirit-Mind-Body collective. Finding that which does not expand the potential and make adjustments that enhance continuation and/or expand and liberate life. As Celestial beings we must restore our light, that has become hidden by the Human Stain. We are not human beings, we are Solar Beings, which are mundanely called souls. I Am Spirit-The Light of Life itself, to know this each of us must see beyond the stain of mortality and understand that there never was the end of anything. There is only transformation in a continuation of I AM. I am not a man looking for a god, I am a god operating a man. To know thyself is the purpose of Gnosis, of Tarot, of Tao, of Western Hermetic Magic, of Tantra, and many more cleansers of the Human stain. Know this about yourself: I Am Spirit, I operate a living form in my name and am not operated by it. We are the Light of Wisdom and Life. Spirit who operates the living in the name of the Divine Creative- I AM.....!
The central dancer of this card has her eyes closed because she trusts the flow of awareness that flows around her. The body is a limited awareness, while the Celestial Self is a macrocosmic awareness. This limited awareness is necessary for keeping balance in a microcosm but is not the True Awareness that is the One Mind-One Energy, which flows around us, in us and as us. Her hands are positioned to create a lemniscate and/or mobius loop, for the universe is not linear but rather a spiral flow of inner and outer continuity. This is the universal flow of continuity always flowing and moving into the next. Our bodies are animated by that flow that takes into and out of conditions, situations, while establishing connections and extending them into a collective of Self. As Spiral Energy, we must wrap ourselves in a molecular clothing, for we are the Light of the Stars who needs and wants to be intimate with what is created by our Light and know that only by experiencing life from the molecular standpoint, can we build true evolutionary knowledge.
Love is intimacy at its greatest expression. One needs a form to be intimately connected by the senses to the microcosm. The human stain believes it is alone, all self-absorbed in its terror of dying, believing that horrors of its own creation are stalking it. and that god of its own creative imagination, are out to punish it for being a stain on life. It is time that you, Spirit, and Mind, get control of this stain in life, this molecular computerized brain, and remove the stain of fear. We are the Immortals who claim mortality as our own form. We walk as the energy that fires through this form animating it in our name of, I AM! We are the Hands of Goddess/God and must wash them clean of stains of fear, for all that is bad in our lives and world is fear based self-absorbed behaviors of the Human Stain. We are the immortal Star Dancers, who create the living! Suns of the Divine Creative.
We have wrapped ourselves in the gossamer fabric of molecular bio-protonic materials, just as this fancy dancer Creatrix has on this card. We are Photon evolution of the Energy Intelligence that many call spirit, but the word is blinding us to the truth of self. I am the Awareness that created the senses and am not limited to sensual awareness! I am the Dancing Light of Life itself. The human shadow is mine to animate in a parody of Self. As I assemble the "mind stuff" and/or atoms around me, making them into images that I think I AM. God is not a religion, for that is made by the Human stain because it believes it must defend itself against God. Somehow the knowledge that God is Love, can't penetrate the human stains fear of being itself. However, the Divine creative is religiously expressing itself as Life. I AM Life! I AM God's religion not seeking one! To seek love is not to be love. I AM Love! I AM Life Dancing with its most beloved across the Stars! Life's most beloved is organic matter.
The hands of the Celestial Being hold the points of the nexus where we journey as Spiritual Light into space- time; the here and now producing astral layers of illusion and process. Manifestation by its very nature is an illusion as it is "thought of", and we are not thought of, we are the Minds that produce it! I create thoughts, so they aren't my truth, for that is I AM...!
Shown on this card is an abundance of plants. California Maidenhair Fern, Red Clover, and Borage (in the hair). These flowers offer wonderful gifts of healthy diversity to the world and its pollinators, the bees.
Red Clover, a common legume cover crop, can offer several benefits to both soil health and the environment. Here are the benefits of Red Clover to the soil and the ecosystem:
Nitrogen Fixation: Red Clover is a nitrogen-fixing plant, meaning it has a symbiotic relationship with nitrogen-fixing bacteria in its root nodules. This process converts atmospheric nitrogen into a form that plants can use. When Red Clover is incorporated into the soil, it adds nitrogen, an essential nutrient for plant growth, making it available to other plants in the area.
Soil Improvement: Red Clover's deep root system helps improve soil structure and drainage. Its extensive roots can break up compacted soil, allowing for better water infiltration and root penetration by other plants. As the Red Clover decomposes, it also adds organic matter to the soil, increasing its fertility and moisture-holding capacity.
Weed Suppression: Red Clover can help suppress weed growth due to its dense growth habit. It competes with weeds for sunlight, water, and nutrients, reducing the establishment of unwanted plants in the area.
Erosion Control: The dense root system of Red Clover helps bind the soil particles together, reducing soil erosion by wind and water. This is particularly important on slopes and in areas prone to erosion.
Wildlife Habitat: Red Clover provides habitat and forage for various wildlife species, including bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. It supports biodiversity by attracting beneficial insects to the area.
Carbon Sequestration: Like all plants, Red Clover absorbs carbon dioxide from the atmosphere during photosynthesis and stores carbon in its biomass and root system. This contributes to carbon sequestration, helping mitigate climate change.
Aesthetics: Red Clover's vibrant pink or red flowers can enhance the visual appeal of landscapes and gardens, providing aesthetic benefits.
While Red Clover primarily benefits the soil and the environment, it indirectly contributes to the overall well-being of ecosystem.
Borage, also known as Borago officinalis, is an herbaceous plant that offers several benefits to the environment. Here are some of the benefits of borage for the environment:
Pollinator Attraction: Borage is known for its vibrant blue, star-shaped flowers that are highly attractive to pollinators, especially bees. The nectar-rich blossoms provide a valuable food source for bees and other beneficial insects. Supporting pollinators helps maintain biodiversity and ensures the pollination of other plants in the ecosystem. Borage is also a type of antibiotic for bees.
Soil Improvement: Borage has a taproot that can penetrate deep into the soil, helping to break up compacted earth and improve soil aeration. Its extensive root system also contributes to better water infiltration and nutrient uptake for neighboring plants.
Companion Planting: Borage is often used as a companion plant in gardens. It can deter certain pest insects, such as tomato hornworms, by secreting compounds from its roots and leaves. Planting borage near susceptible crops can help reduce the need for chemical pesticides.
Biomass and Organic Matter: As borage plants grow and die, they contribute organic matter to the soil when their leaves and stems decompose. This organic matter enriches the soil's fertility and moisture-holding capacity.
Medicinal and Culinary Uses: While not related to the environment, borage has been traditionally used in herbal medicine and is also used in culinary dishes. Cultivating borage can promote the conservation of traditional plant knowledge and provide local food sources.
Aesthetic Value: Borage's beautiful blue flowers make it an attractive addition to gardens, enhancing the visual appeal of outdoor spaces.
Self-Seeding: Borage is an annual plant that often-self-seeds, meaning it can reproduce and regrow in subsequent growing seasons without the need for replanting. This characteristic can create a sustainable and low-maintenance presence in the environment.
Drought Tolerance: Borage is drought-tolerant once established, making it suitable for regions with limited water resources.
While borage may not be a major environmental player on its own, it contributes positively to the ecosystem by supporting pollinators, improving soil health, and providing numerous benefits for gardeners and local communities.
The California maidenhair fern (Adiantum jordanii) is a native fern species that can contribute several benefits to the environment. Here are some of the ways in which the California maidenhair fern contributes to the environment:
Erosion Control: The delicate, lacy fronds of the California maidenhair fern create a dense ground cover that helps prevent soil erosion. Its root system stabilizes the soil and reduces the risk of erosion on slopes and along stream banks.
Habitat and Biodiversity: California maidenhair fern provides habitat and food sources for various wildlife, including insects, spiders, and small animals. These ferns can support a diverse ecosystem by hosting insects that, in turn, attract birds and other wildlife.
Air Quality Improvement: Like all plants, California maidenhair fern plays a role in improving air quality by absorbing carbon dioxide during photosynthesis and releasing oxygen. This contributes to a healthier environment for both humans and wildlife.
Aesthetic Value: The delicate and graceful appearance of the California maidenhair fern makes it a popular choice for ornamental plantings in gardens and natural landscapes. Its aesthetic value enhances the visual appeal of these areas.
Soil Enhancement: As the fern's fronds decompose, they contribute organic matter to the soil, improving its fertility and moisture-retaining capacity. This organic matter enriches the soil and supports the growth of other plants.
Shade and Microclimate Creation: The dense growth of California maidenhair fern can create shade and a more temperate microclimate in the areas it inhabits. This can benefit other shade-loving plants and create more comfortable conditions for certain wildlife species.
Conservation: In some cases, the California maidenhair fern may be considered an indicator species for specific habitat types. The presence of this fern can signal the ecological health of an area, which is important for conservation efforts and land management.
While the California maidenhair fern may not be as well-known as some other plants, it plays a valuable role in its native ecosystems and contributes to the overall health and biodiversity of the environment.
The biodiversity of the ecosystem is a collective of organisms, all expressions of Self, and all belong here as the collective that we call biosphere and/or organic life. If it exists...it is supposed to! The Dance of life is an orchestration of diverse instruments that make one great Song of I AM! Change is the universal dance of Love that makes a universe of Life.
It is said that man danced before he spoke. He certainly danced before he painted and sculpted reliefs on his walls. All cultures of the world have given dance a ritual status before any formal ritual or liturgy was codified in texts or recreated through relief or paint.
Yoga, like dance, is much more than a mere physical exercise. It is a holistic way of relating to the body that involves an increasing awareness on all levels: the physical, the mental, and the spiritual. Yoga unites the functions of each of these aspects of our personality. This is true for dance also. Certainly, any successful dance performance is characterized by a balanced harmony between the body and spirit. What is suggested here is that dance, like yoga, is a conscious attempt at integrating all the tiers of our existence. It does not negate but on the contrary affirms the sensual nature of our objective physical being and treats it as fundamental to any attempt at spiritual awareness as our subjective intangible soul.
The pairing of our anima (Parvati) and animus (Shiva) in the Universal dance gives our unconscious the ability to realize on the physical plane---making the unconscious more likely to join with the awake consciousness and thereby dispelling the false ego of the survival mind which is lodged in the brain and is the human stain on our Celestial Intelligence. This rhythmic assistance of Celestial intelligence known as Wisdom and Understanding, joined in rhythmic union with the subconsciousness aids us in each of our projects, and the life cycle we set for ourselves which illuminates a path towards healing the mental illness of separation thinking. We are stimulated mentally towards circumspection, prudence, and judgement- allowing impulses to settle. Impulsiveness, haste, and superficiality are weak foundations for the ephemeral work of as above so below. Hence, they are a mental stain to remove by introspective scrubbing.
Yin Yang the union of Air and Earth
Yin Yang, the union of fire and water
As a Spiritual Being of Energy conscious, I find this constant change especially useful in developing intelligence and intimate self-awareness (Create--see entropy and correct it) for entropy here is seen as error, correcting error is the developmental process of wisdom, as well as the foundation of evolutionary being, i.e., adaptability! Most of us know the Yin Yang symbol of Taoist origin, and on the Thoth Card, it is shown in both loops of the serpent figure eight with the symbols for fire and water at the top one, spinning to the left and the symbols for air and earth, spinning to the right are shown on the bottom yin yang symbol. The yellow color is the Masculine Force (electric), and the darker colors are the Feminine Form which is magnetic force. In the Qabalah, the union of Force (male) and Form (female) is seen as the foundation of all being. The Serpent is the representation of serpentine energy, known as frequency and/or microwaves which are produced by the Dance of Shiva and Shakti.
Astrologically, the Thoth card is Jupiter in Capricorn. The benevolent Planet Jupiter is not well placed in Capricorn meaning that Jupiter's good influence can only be exerted as an organizer. The Feminine Creative or the Ocean of Magnetic Force (Binah) and Masculine currents of electric force (Chokma) are being organized into living forms on/in the Material of Malkuth---which is the 10th Sephiroth on the Tree of Life. Kabbalists/Qabalists know Kether to be the 1st Sephira, source of all 10 and many have thought that this is the first manifestation of conscious energy. Yet Kether is the "limitless light" and has no end or beginning, which allows no viewing, let alone any real understanding. Kether is the "Dark Sun" but to us shown as a white sphere, for it is the infinite unseen balance of all weights of colored light and is the least understood concept of the Tree of Life sigil. Thus, the First idea of manifestation falls to the 2's which represent Chokma (Wisdom) who, although being the first "male expression", is also a Hebrew feminine noun that translates into the Greek Goddess Sophia-Wisdom. Elements may be essences in Kether, but only upon reaching the Deuces are they in appearance as ideas.
The 2's not only represent Chokmah-the 2nd Sephiroth on the Qabalistic Tree of Life, but also the Elements uncontaminated by influence; hence they appear in their original harmonious condition.
- For instance: the 2 of Wands is called Dominion and/ or Lord of Dominion because the word Lord implies Husbandry in its original Feudal Anglo Saxon meaning of "Keeper of her property"; the 2 of Wands is the Fire Element in its purest form and is the "movement within all motion".
- The 2 of cups, often called The Lord of Love and is the Purest Form of Water (fluid-like energy flow), i.e. consciousness.
- The 2 of Swords has been called the Lord of Peace or Peace. We know that swords represent "mind" but since there is no conflict to solve at this stage of manifestation, there is only Peace.
It requires a lot of thought to understand the Ace of any suit, for it is a State of "I "without the "Am" paradox of imaging self, within one-self. This can be a real brain teaser simply because it is the Negative form of a Positive idea.... It’s as if it is the negative electrons attracting positive electrons to make a form manifest from a dream in the " stardust" of time/space. All is Mind and like I said, a lot of thinking is necessary here, as the general proposition states that the sum of the one energy is zero, so that the Positive manifestation "isn't" real, it is reality as a dream, while the Real is infinite zero. Thus, the phrase, "The other side of the Mirror" is the Real side. Or we can say that the image in the reflected side of the mirror is subject to the self-conceptual presentation of I AM radiated as form from the invisible side of the mirror. It is, therefore, proper to say that I AM is real, for it describes "existence" and what I AM thinks it is (as a Me), is all assumption/self-reflection which is also called "illusion" and/or the theory of what I AM. You as Spirit-Mind-Body represent an experiment in Self-Awareness. Remembering that all experiments are failures until they aren't keeps one experimenting with Self-awareness.
The 2 of Disks in most Tarot, is representative of Change, and/or Lord of Harmonious Change which is what Union produces. Union produces harmonious change simply because energy seeks its own level and when two come together as one, they balance each other, and this works for two states of energy consciousness as well as the human Torus/Aura. Also, Earth is the Throne of Spirit, as the Princesses are related to Earth and since the well-known axiom of Gnosis is "As above so below", we see that once having gotten to the bottom one comes out again at the top. This is a type of Mobius loop (Torus), or lemniscus (Greek for-ribbon) which is the serpentine horizonal figure-eight magus symbol for infinity; "O who is 2", clamping down on its own tail forming an unbroken line, and in each male and female is the infinity of 0=2. Describing the illusion of separation as the line is unbroken and is really One who is both itself and other.
The 2's may be considered the A-sexual "fetuses" of the Seed-Aces but this concept doesn't seem to make understanding these "Higher States" of the invisible conscious energy any easier. All the 2's suggest that when the Negative sees itself as a Positive, and then unites with that Positive, we get a "Self- Image" of individual male and female forces. This may help you with the Mythological concepts of the Goddess who in Virgin birth, has a son (male is considered Positive Electron/Proton and female is considered Negative/ Electron) and then mates with that son to produce the Universe. If you get all tangled up with your indoctrinated-emotional "flesh-o-phobe" concepts of sexuality-----you'll never understand the Energy Conscious concepts of the 2s. However, I love to tease the brain, so here is another concept of the 2's, "From herself, she created him, and then mated with him so she could become her." I just love that one! This is not an attempt to obfuscate, but an example of language's inability to explain the Hermaphrodite (Hermes and Aphrodite) that is the Soul. None of us are "a sex", all of us are both genders. This is easily shown, as the self-reflected human brain, which manifests both the feminine side and masculine side of intelligent energy. Hence, the illusion of manifestation creates a gender of 2 that continually seeks to become 1.
But all confusion aside, each of us is a 0 --- a soul, that equals 2 .and as stated; your body's brain, which is a copy of your Psyche, has a feminine and masculine side. Truth be told, we can't truthfully be identified by the naming of a sex of a species as all of us are Hermaphrodite Souls, The I AM psyche, who create the life/breath in a body so that it can represent our presence in the realm of matter; matter assumes it is male or female in body, i.e. ,Malkuth, a realm we as the evolution of Pure Light are not from but wish to manifest a self-concept in for the sole (soul) purpose of fulfilling the divine Will to Be. To repeat myself; Kether is given the God Name of Eheieh in Hebrew, meaning "I Will Be", you are the fulfillment of that will to be. Therefore, you are the Divine Creative's Self-Image who now can experience data/information as in-form-action and thereby, develop self-knowledge by becoming intimate with information; "I AM Being" is the wish fulfillment of the One. You are not the "false ego", the human stain who tells you that you are a slave to the environment and outside authority. Rather, you are the Life that influences the environment and has no outside authority...you are the inner author of your outer life-motion. You are a Life Force that makes lifetimes.
When the 2 of Disks/No.2 -Limitless change card is thrown for an individual during a reading, it means:
- A transformation in the physical world is upon them in two weeks or two months’ time.
- This is Cause and Effect and/ or the Law of Attraction, where what we think of the most is formed in the atoms around us as a living observation and/or lifestyle.
- In Physics, it is known that observation changes the observed and most of us know that by observing a thought through the powerful emotions (energy-in-motion) of love or fear will charge that thought into manifested action from benevolent, on one hand, or malevolent on the other.
- Perspective is everything to a Conscious Energy---which we all know as Spirit. Life is but a perspective of Self-Awareness!
- The ability to juggle or balance more than one project at a time and or two or more situations at one time.
- When the mental aspects attributed to Female (unconscious) and the Male (consciousness), in all of us is balanced, we know Life as Playful Creativity and enjoy the challenges of entropy. Whereas if they are at odds, life becomes a serious struggle where chaos eventually wins.
- That it is better to allow chaos and then reorder it in a new way to be, knowing full well that you can and always have done so as Spirit. Know Thyself! You are originally Spirit; a powerful Observer known as Will-to-Be! From Non- being, you have always created being! This is your inheritance, from Chokma and Binah. "To be the I AM" which is never stasis and always re-observing itself! This state of self-revaluation is the Universal Constant-Transformation.
- All opposites are only illusions or different outgrowths of the same current of energy.
If ill defined by the surrounding cards in the layout, it implies.
- Disharmony and/or discord.
- A time for solitude.
