Thoth- 10 of Wands

The Lord of Oppression

In the Thoth Tarot, the 10 of Wands, is called Lord of Oppression, and is Saturn in Sagittarius. There are Angels attributed to the Decan, Reyayel and Avamel. Angels are really another angle of evolutionary Intelligence...but alas, one we are not subservient to as we are "un-ruled", rather than the rule, as we have freedom of choice and must Master ourselves. Our oppression is of our own doing.

The Whole of us (the invisible 99.6% and the Visible.4%) is called the "Divine Child" and/or Son (Sun) of God. The Angels are servants to the Laws of their structure; their motion has been decided for them, while we can break or change the laws of self-identity. We are endowed with freedom of choice or as quantum physicist state, by observation. We are thus Divinity. Granted, in the Old testament, Sumerian Clay Tablets, Babylonian Tablets, and many other scribe writings in the ancient past, we were oppressed by "the gods". However, these "gods" (Yahweh was one of them) were ancient Astronauts and Scientists from the Orion-Sirius area of the Sky and they left. So we are our own oppressors now. In the One who is many, and/or I Am the Law is Love and we live under the rule of Love as the children of the I AM. However, we can "fall" out of love by our own individual choices. Therefore, angels are ruled by God, mankind is ruled by his/her own freedom to choose which is a very painful burden to those who don't rule or "Above all things”, know themselves. We need not look for saviors, for only slaves need saviors. It is time we "...know ourselves" as inheritors of the Divine Creative.

The ancient Greeks called us Daemons, (God Men)- the Children of Extraterrestrial and hominid mating). Daemonic, as in "god like", because by our own perspectives and observation, we can change reality ! Only a manifestation of the Divine can do that! So, when the Hierophant says to you,"If you wish to speak to me, you must stand." He is not just stating "tough love", it is also a statement of equality for we are made of all the mental, emotional, and spiritual power that ever was or will be-now!

The 10 OF WANDS-Oppression; is Malkuth in Aziluth and is the influence of Malkuth in the world of Pure Spirit. Where upon the destructive powers of Saturn (Geburah-Severity) are amplified by the swiftness of Sagittarius, leading to selfishly applied material force, and often cruelly. On the Thoth 10 of Wands, the suggestion of the crude club like wands, and the Dorjes (Tibetan spear- like symbols of Thunderbolts) that were on the 2 of Wands card, are now elongated into Wands, forming a defensive bar covering the other 8 Wands that are still crossed and suggest the enormous power of fiery energy. Being blocked, the 8 wands cannot develop their life impulses. Not allowing rational processing of reality, structuring of life, and strategies to master everyday life. This image suggests, cruelty, malice, overbearing force and energy that can be injustice. To unblock this energy is a matter of departing from pleasant self- delusions or from the dazzling illusions of the past-created emotions, instead of facing this radiant coldness of the crystalline mind that is often an initially bitter experience.

However, one must understand that a certain amount of energy must be oppressed at all times, for form to exist. Energy must be contained in a "Thought Form" before it can become manifested information. Then again, too much oppression of energy-in-motion (emotion) leads to disaster; like electricity, Water or Fire, energy resists this oppression, and will "slip its bonds" at any sign of weakening. Sometimes destructively so.

Often the oppression of our own ability to act, is because of our own self-perspective, most of us tend to be crueler to ourselves than to others, because we often fear ourselves more than others. We can escape this cycle of destruction if we understand that the oppression we feel, is often the subconscious mind being told by the Inner Self (Soul), to change perspectives. We feel oppression so we can identify it and act. So let's remember that it's better to pop a just blown balloon, than an over pressurized air tank and stop oppressing our emotional energy until it becomes destructive.

Often, by taking things too seriously, we fail to use the power of mirth that cracks the veneer of perspective, so that we can see beyond our self-made prison of "I can't". Truth being, "I can’t", usually means "I am afraid to". and/or "I don't want to”; However, "I Can't" becomes a statement of low self-value when believed. So just say," I don't want to" and get on with your motion. Thy Self, is the Psyche/Soul and not the ego of the body. Yet by believing you are the personality/ego, you become a slave to emotion, instead of a Psyche/Soul of the Divine Creative, who emotes energy to create animation. Emotion is energy-in-motion, and it is best used to enhance the motions of Life, rather than locked up in delusions.

It is often understood that with impassioned focus, we can accomplish anything. That's the beautiful side of "freedom of choice". So remember this, we use "thought" to oppress energy into form and its animation, for creation's sake. including our own, but eventually, because change is the only constant in this energy Universe, that oppression will end whether voluntarily or by emotional-explosion. For all things proceed from order to disorder in this energy universe (2nd law of Thermodynamics). Permanency is an illusion cast by fearing change. There is no permanency anywhere in this Universe, so get used to being flexible with emotion; its okay to change.

Energy will free itself, and move. Those who are freely changing their perspectives, will find that the once feared end we call death, is merely a movement towards the true perspective of the I AM/Psyche and will experience what the Tibetans call "reincarnation", which is simply expanding and liberating one's personality by change of perspective. This change is done by adding the new life experiences with the old life experiences gleaned by the Soul, in its many manifestations of avatar and thereby, creating another more expanded avatar. The Body is merely a Self-Reflection of the Soul, in the crystalline realm of light, that we call "Physical", which "dies" because it is a measured experience; to measure one must have a beginning and an end. However, the Psyche or Soul, is a Sphere of Wisdom cleaned by experiencing knowledge as an "I AM ME". Being an Sphere, it has no end nor beginning and resides in the Universal Collective Unconscious as an immortal addition to the collective wisdom of the One Mind. Fear of this process, oppresses energy for further motion and/or stops the life journey.
By fearing an end, you delude yourself into having one, by not fearing and end, you can consciously experience transformation.

Tarot Illuminati- 10 of Wands

The burden of choice.

The Tarot Illuminati- 10 of Wands, also does not stray from the Traditional art of Tarot. Here a well dressed citizen is carrying 10 golden wands. He seems to be struggling under the burden of their combined weight as he climbs the stairs towards a Towering castle. Implying by climbing the societal heights, one must carry the weight of emotional restrictions caused by societal rules, i.e., dogmatism and indoctrination. However, nothing in life that is worth doing is easy. Unlike a beast of burden, a horse under a saddle or an oxen harnessed to a plow, we choose our own burdens and many of the burdens that we carry are done so gladly as we are happy to strain our muscles and take those extra steps to carry them.

There is self-delusion in limiting one's self to the "past experiences" since every step is a new point in time. One will find their emotional burdens much less, by allowing today to be a moment of new experience, rather than throwing a caul of yesterday over the now. This requires one to examine nightly, the burdens they imposed upon themselves that day. Tossing out the ones of no further gain, keeping only those they gladly bare.

When the 10 of Wands is thrown during a Divination, the Querent may experience:
