Dreams of Gaia tarot- X of water

The Dreams of Gaia Tarot- 10 of Water, represents both a beginning and an ending. Which is what the 10's of Tarot all do. Here, it symbolizes the moment we release the emotions of the past and begin living in the "now" for the first time. When open to the present, we feel our connection to the Divine Creative, with all and everything. In such a connection we also feel and know the love that dwells deep within all of us.

As shown on the card, the Divine Creatrix, whose symbols are the Moon and its phases, and who was known throughout Mesopotamia as the Ocean Goddess Mari, is shown enlivening the Oceans. The Sea Turtle is a symbol often used by the ancients to represented the Greek Atlas, holding the world on its back. In this Tarot Card, the turtle represents a fertile sea. The sun above is a heart, with an all seeing eye (All seeing "I" and/or the One Identity), which seems to represent the Love of all.

Our emotional state, is our "life motion" and/or our movement along the path of life. In this free and open state of emotion, our energy-in-motion is unfettered and free to move by choice rather than by pre programmed response. We know long bear the burdens of "life" on our shoulders, the weight of the past is removed and the light free light of the sun shines down on our unburden shoulders. Energy is what we are, not what we have. I AM Energy, whose self-awareness and/or self-information becomes form in this universe where energy carries data and when this data is understood, becomes form. I Am Light and as the Spiral Energy of the Suns/Sons of the Divine Creative, I didn't come into self-awareness as a burden, but as an "enlightened" psyche. A Golden Child, Soul/Psyche of the Divine Self Awareness known as the "I AM". I Am Me, is Intimate Self-Awareness, of which is the purpose of the Soul. Through "me'" the I Am can now be intimate/sensually aware of itself. My presence is my purpose and carries no burdens but freedom of choice. Free to choose what I do and how I do it. That choice is motion, is Energy-in-motion, and to express energy frequencies that I am into the world excellently, requires an open heart and Mind. I AM an unique expression of Excellence called a "me". I Am the only "doing of me", I am the only life of "me". I Am the only beginning and the end of "me". I Am the Knowing that produced the Understanding that is "Me". Where is the burden in that?

For this is shown in the number 10 as 1=0, and/or one's presence is eternally now, and does not exist in the past or the future.

When the Dreams of Gaia 10 of Water is thrown in a divination, it implies:

  • Truly living in the present.
  • A feeling of divine connection.
  • A time of serenity and ease.
  • Power born of knowledge (Chokmah) and understanding (Binah).
  • A positive emotional state.
  • The power to consciously direct your energy.
  • Say "no" to disruptive influences.

In the Qabalistic Tree of Life, MALKUTH/MALCHUT, Earth, is the 10th Sephiroth on the Tree of Life, and is the placement of the 4 Tens.

The Thoth 10 of Cups is known as SATIETY, and is attributed to Mars in Pisces. Crowley calls this card, The Lord of Perfected Success, as this is the influence of MALKUTH in the unconscious Mental World known as Briah. Satiety, is a word meaning, filled to the point of excess, though it is hard to argue that excessive happiness is a negative thing; however, it could be distracting. Briah includes the invisible Sephiroth-Daath, meaning Knowledge and is the Dark Womb of your Psyche's birth.

Thoth-10 of cups-satiety

What is exceptional about this card, is that the general astrological meaning of Mars in Pisces doesn't apply. Pisces is a watery sign, and Mars would signify a dispersal of energy to a point of frustration.

However, the meaning here is that fiery Mars causes the Waters of Pisces to rush furiously into Briah, bringing great success on the Material plane of Malkuth and a type of saturated happiness. The imagery of this card expresses the opinion that all happiness is inspired from above, i.e. comes from the Divine. One could say that Happiness, is a higher-inner state of Self-Awareness and/or Happiness is a self-opinion.

To be sure, when Tarot is used for public divination, it is best applied to mundane matters, whereas, the meaning may be different if applied to a more spiritual plane. The Placement of the cards, in the reading will clarify this statement.

In ordinary matters, the divined meaning of the 10 of Cups-Satiety: Matters definitely arranged as wished, permanent and lasting success of a physical issue, as it is done and finished.

However, being a 10, this is a short duration card, as 10's are a union of 1 and 0, so from one to zero is the flow of this cards influence. So often one is only satiated for a short period of time, with struggle around the corner. The 10 of Cups, although in the seemingly stable form of the Tree of Life, has a conflicting element that causes a tilting of the Cups, spilling water from the Great Lotus that overhangs the whole system.*Hence, it is a number of a "just harvest".

*In Numerology, there are numbers indicating intensities related to karma – as in “you reap what you sow.”The number 10 is a Karmic number. And these numbers appear in our path, it’s an invitation to look at what you’re “paying back.”

HOW TO WORK WITH THE 10/10 NUMEROLOGY - the Numinous

www.the-numinous.com/2015/10/08/1010-numerology/

This rapid stirring of the Waters, is from the influence of Mars in Pisces, as Mars is a noted gross, violent force, depicted in Myth as the God of War who attacks any noted perfection. Pisces, is notably peaceful, spiritual, sensitive, psychic, and receptive. Mars is brutal, fiery and dominant. "Water" is used as a symbol for emotions and intuition. Therefore, Mars, heats up the placid waters achieving an emotional warmth.

This combination means that the proper work of Water is done, emotional warmth is achieved and a substantial disturbance is due. In fact, Mars in Pisces, is considered by many astrologers to be the worst position of the 12 signs (some feel that karma is often negative).

Yet, through all this supposed doom and gloom, when this card is thrown during a reading, it means that emotional matters are definitely arranged and settled...for the moment. Pleasure proceeds, to dissipation and debauchery, as energy-in-motion follows the second law of thermodynamics-All proceeds from order to disorder. The message here is," Enjoy the moment of completion, all is done. Sit back, have a "dram", but avoid debauch, as soon you'll be called on to perform at your best."

10 is a number that when added together [1+0 =1), you end up at the beginning. It is the "up the down staircase" number that places us on top of one flight of stairs, only to find out that we are at the bottom of another flight. There are some Tarot readers that forgot this part of the Arcana, and call the 10 of Cups, permanent success, but Qabalists know that the only permanency in this One Energy Universe, is change/transformation. Yet here dances the "Lord of Material Happiness", the 10th Sephiroth, Malkuth and all seems well...but then we know how long happiness in material things lasts in a “not this, not that” world! Material, is a measured form of condensed light, and always returns to its origins. Hence, permanent doesn't apply to what has a beginning and an end.

  • Matters definitely arranged as wished, permanent and lasting emotional success on one issue; which will fade into another unsolved issue, as this will wane after great exaltation. **This meaning of material success is reinforced if the 10 of Cup's lands on the position of "Beneath you" or "of House and Home", on a Celtic cross layout. In fact, that would be paramount for this card, as it is a 10 of Malkuth (Kingdom) in an Earthly existence position. However, the tilting of the cups shows us that tens are the end of one issue, and the beginning of the unfathomable new.
  • Optimism.
  • Self-confidence.
  • Emotional warmth.
  • Emotional fulfillment in mental ideals.

If ill defined by the surrounding cards in the divination:

  • Sentimentality.
  • Bathos.
  • Inner emptiness.
