In the Witches Tarot- Three of Cups, we have a coven of 3 women, facing each other and toasting their success. The concept that this card is ruled by the element of water is reinforced by the silver cups, silver being Moon metal, the waterfall and stream in the back ground. The Women are wearing very colorful flowing gowns adorned with magic symbols while also being surrounded by magical flowers, each associated with water.
This card illustrates the power of three, with three ladies, three tall spires of foxglove, and the three cups. The Power of Trinities, from Kether-Chokmah-Binah, to the Spirit-Mind-Body, to the identity of an Individual as I-AM-Me.
The Thoth 3 of Cups, being feminine in nature, is also called the Lord of Abundance, as here Mercury is in Cancer making communication a more emotional thing than mental. The Angels of the Decan Rachael and Yehomayah.
The Thoth Tarot- 3 of Cups, signifies the influence of Binah in Briah, the Creative World.
Cancer is a water sign, and is under the command of the Moon. Thus we have Cardinal Water, i.e. Consciousness. Thus, The 3 of Cups is perfect affinity with Binah, who is "Will to Form" and whose trinity is often seen as the 3 graces.
The rushing water, swift and extravagant as it overflows the Pomegranate cups, represents the gifts of Mercury and/or communication and swiftness. The Water arises from a single cup which denotes the "dark calm Sea of Binah" a characteristic of the Universal Collective Unconscious from which all consciousness springs. She is also seen as Persephone (spring), to whom the Pomegranate is sacred. Hence, the pomegranate cups. With the Plenty of Persephone as spring, this card represents plenty, hospitality, and abundance, and the underlying force of magnetism, that makes imagination a womb. Here then is the 3 abundant aspects of Love: Eros-Love of flesh, Philos-Brotherly love, and Agape- the Love of God. This Great Mother of Love is the Will to form /the Will that began all forms, not the Form itself for that is reserved to the Action of Chesed the Sphere of Mercy and the Architect. Again the sexing of these Sephirotic forces is limiting and short on insight. Chesed may be Masculine in its expression of form, and yet it is feminine as it receives the Will of Binah.
We are all Androgynous, in that we are both receptive (female) and expressive (male); both magnetic (female) and electric (male). Being Electromagnetic entity, we have great power, "to be or not to be" by the very act of "giving birth" to our own identity. The body is a tool, powered by the Electromagnetic Entity that you are. For as a power tool the human body is un-excelled, but as its operator, you are beyond the reason of bodies and/or their self-consciousness. You are obviously a "Will to be" which is very much a combination of "I Will Be", “Will to Force” and "Will to Form". So here is the kicker: YOU ARE THE IMAGINATION and the IMAGINED. Remember, Hu is Mandarin for God and Man is from the Hindu word for mind-Mannas, Thus you are called a God Mind! The body is not described in the world human. So you are a Hu-Man, who owns a animal body called a Homo Sapiens to aid you in the gathering of information. Therefore, your Psyche is the Transmitter and the personality is the Transmitted.
There is no secret here, for Image-maker, is what the Imagination means, and that dear soul, is the Creatrix's Power. So get off of your suffering butt and stand up and Yell-----I AM Me! And get on with you, for self- impeccability is what you came to do! Remember, what we command with emotion in this Universe is our own image which is to the Creatrix, Her lovely child that is Image! Take charge of yourself and stop blaming environment, or person or thing. Sure they may influence, but they only have the power you give them. What you are is up to your Passionate use of Imagination!
Therefore, your HuMan and/or God-mind is composed of a trinity of thoughts that are of "I Will Be", "Will to Force" and Will to Form" which is the Supernal Triangle, and or Divine Creative. This is the I of identity, th Am of Mind and the Me of form. Hence, when you look into the 3 of cups you see yourself as an abundance of Identity, Emotion and Form. Binah, is the Self-Reflection Mind that give birth to the information gained as "Self-Image".
When the Three/3 of Cups is thrown during a reading:
There really isn't a negative to this card, unless blinded by exuberance can be called a negative. But love doesn't really care if others appreciative it or not, it just is the foundation of Spiritual presence and Knowledge that is unconcerned with approval as it Loves to Be.
