The Starman-Ace of Swords

I live through my highest values.

The Starman-Ace of Swords, depicts an old corroding Celtic sword, suspended in a space of rose-pink potential. Beyond this is a golden orb of the Galactic Center which is the Central Gigantic Photon Sun presented here as a window through which the matrix of life is seen. The time weathered sword points upward, piercing the sacred geometry of Metatron's Cube which represents Kether's/Eheieh's vibration of "I Will Be" radiating outward into multiple vibrations/frequencies that make the Macrocosm:

Metatron's Cube

Metatron's Cube is a name for a geometric figure composed of 13 equal circles with lines from the center of each circle extending out to the centers of the other 12 circles. Some New Age teachers call a variant of this figure the Fruit of Life.

Crowley called this action of creation, "Achath Ruach Elohim Chiim" meaning, " One is Spirit of the Gods of the living". Spirit and Spiral come from the same Greek word, Spiro -meaning breath. The Hebrew word Eheieh (Kether's Hebrew description) sounds like exhaling breath and mean's "I Will Be". Hence, one can describe first motion in the Dark Matter of the Universe, as "Will to Be", the Spirit/Breath behind the Creation of the Universe.

The Starman-Ace of Swords, represents a time that has arrived for a significant breakthrough in one's thoughts where a creation of an intentional self-conscious space is created for a powerful insight. Therefore, a particular issue is expanded with clear, concise, and unique inner thought or

voice resulting in a vital approach towards a new beginning or approach to life with renewed vision of purpose. What many meta-physicians call an "Aw Ha" moment and is often depicted as a light-bulb going off above one's head.

One may notice that the Celtic Sword is also seeming to sever the umbilical cords of the floating fetuses that are vibrating in the streaks of golden light and according to Davide De Angelis, " Male and Female lines of limited being in the world are being severed. " On the bottom of the card is a rectangle composed of Davide's concept of alien calligraphy. The same meanings apply to the Starman card as do the descriptions of the Thoth Ace of Swords.

Kether is the Crown, the Observer, the "White light", that is. It is the Unknowable God of many religions, and yet as many of us know, religion is not God. Kether is the Idea of the Big Bang, the point, the Singularity; the first vibration in the fabric of space. The perfect White Energy that all colors of the electromagnetic Spectrum radiate from.  The Aces are also essences, so they to are not easily explained. The 4 Aces are related to Kether, thus they are representative of the Pure Forms of Energy that are elaborated by the other cards of the Tarot Deck and/or Sephiroth. The consecutive elaboration of the Numbers, represent Forces being woven together to form the Harmonic that is the World and Universe; a World that is 96% invisible to us. However, by combining the colors of the visible spectrum of electromagnetic light, we see that different combinations, make different color changes, such as blue combined with red makes purple, etc. These combinations are the necessary diversity of creation and can be called the harmonics of a Soul. To a Qabalist, the numbered Sephiroth are either Force or Form and sometimes both in union depending on the Masculine expressive and female receptive aspects of a particular Sephiroth.

Each Ace is unique and is distinct in its degree of density and in its ability to do work as a specific function in the One Energy. Thus, each Ace is the Seed of an Alchemical Element. We think we know what seeds are, but when we look at one, we don't see the Tree it represents. We just "kind of" know the pattern of the Tree is in there. That is also our conceptions of Kether, we just "kind of Know" that it is infinitely present but then infinite is a human concept and Kether can't be known...so this gets a bit tricky. Obviously open mindedness is required and the courage to keep asking questions until answers emerge. The Influence of Kether is all around us, we just have to trust it knows us even if we know it or not. Obviously we exist as both a photonic spirit energy in the body, as well as, a body made of "star dust", we are a combination of many factors, some if not most, unknown to us. So it is easy to trust the subtle, for Self-Knowledge built us, and that knowledge is ours to understand as I AM Me.

The Unknowable Kether, is often depicted as the Point, .

The Crown (usually a diamond crown for it reflects the purest light):

However, these symbols only direct us into a journey of understanding that has no goal. We may say the goal, is to understand the Infinite, but the word infinite, even if understood, is a human invention. and therefore is inadequate to explain the "No-Thing" before Time. The point that is Kether, is the Singularity that was before the Big Bang but as the words may imply some vast understanding, this explanation is empty of experience and incomprehensible.

Yet, we are also potentially anything, which makes us not as comfortably understood as one would like. It Seems that the Divine Collective Unconscious, wishes us to be as vast as our forms seem to be limited. This is seen by the Imagination's ability to expand concepts so far beyond reality, that maybe, reality is just an imagined collection of “comfortable limits”; One moment we are the Human dreaming of being Spiral Energy, the next we are Spiral Energy dreaming we are a human. Much like that old Chinese tale of a man dreaming he was a butter fly, then upon awakening he wondered if he was a butterfly dreaming he is a man. Considering Kether, is much the same,

The Qabalist knows that all is Mind, and we are not talking about the human consciousness, but the Mind that the Dream of the Universe floats in.

The Ace of Swords is a "seed or essence of Mind". The Root Powers of Air and symbolizes the influence of Kether in the Astral World. This may be understood as the motion in the Currents of Astral Fluid. However, that is just the vision of seeing an old foot print in the snow and not the Power itself. The Astral realms are the realms of Fleeting Forms...nothing solid. Thus, the Ace of Swords is a potent card which can be extremely good or extremely evil. Evil, is live spelled backwards, and basically implies devolution rather than evolution. To move forward progressively, is Living, to Move backward, is "living in the past" which is a form of "living dead", since the past isn't now. Hence, we have philosopher's saying. “Let the dead bury the dead...".

The Mind is called the Element of Air, for it is heated by Passions, as Air is heated by Sun, and thus it can become violent and life threatening. However, this is avoided if the Will of Spirit, is the controller of Passion, then the Mind becomes Life Expanding and Liberating.

The Ace of Wands represents a natural force, while the Ace of Swords represents that which is invoked; a force called upon.

The currents generated by Kether on the Astral are both dynamic and erratic, having the potential to be applied at will to different situations. Thus, we have the description of a "whirling force" that gains strength through trouble. To Qabalists, this is an affirmation of Divine authority and may become the Sword of Wrath, punishment and affliction. Pure mind has no conscience, it is up to us to supply discrimination to thought, by "feeling" it. Hence, to think ill, is to be ill and to think well is to be well.

But let us not despair, for the Ace of Swords represents the Sword of the Magus crowned in the twenty-two diadem of light. To those of magic, the number 22 refers to Atu known as 22=2 x 11, which is the return to the Fool card that is the beginning-0- and the ending of the Paths of the Tree of Life as ATU -22 , the Magical manifestation of Chokmah, Wisdom, and the Logos. In Hebrew letters, that are numbers, is the Word of Law that blazes forth clearing the dark clouds of a Mind based on fear, or survival thinking. I would suggest getting the Book 777 by Aleister Crowley to further study this, as the words "Achath Ruach Elohim Chiim" are the numbers 777 and means in English translation, “One is Spirit of the Gods of the Living". The Ruach being Tiphareth, the Solar Logos. There is a lot of investigative Gematria to understand here so get the book!

The Kether is not living, Achath Ruach Elohim Chiim, implies that Kether is the Spirit behind the Spiral Energy that produces Living Creation. 777, is also the number of the Scarlet Woman. The Red Goddess, the Blood of Life. Crowley named her Babalon.

WHEN THE ACE OF SWORDS THROWN DURING A DIVINATION it is implied that:

  • The Querent is experiencing mental clarity and inventiveness.
  • Problems being overcome with Original thinking.
  • The dawning of a new intellectual process.
  • Acting with logic and discrimination.
  • Strength in adversity. Out of evil some good will come. Something that looks bleak can surprisingly turn out to be promising.
  • The beginning of an idea or information.
  • The arising of Inner insight.
  • This card depends on the surrounding cards to show whether it is fate or rebirth.

If ill defined:

  • Doom. This is the card of Morgan the Fate. Finality, Tragedy, and ultimate fate; However, it is release, freedom from past restraint and a new lightness and/or a kind of salvation.
  • Restlessness.
  • Premature and subjective thinking.
  • Belligerence.
  • Weakness of Will.
