dreams of Gaia tarot- IV of air

The Dreams of Gaia Tarot- 4 of Air, represents the importance of ordering your environment and giving your day structure-you must own the Day! Now this is especially true if you have specific goals or projects you wish to perform, and complete. Having a routine can provide us with a sense of security and a truce with the environment is felt. As I have found as a tool user, that when everything is in its place, or when it has a place, we can be confident that it will be there when next needed. Running around in a panic, trying to find something in a clutter of stuff, makes our environment a threat and a sense of insecurity begins the day.

The gentleman illustrated in the Dreams of Gaia 4 of Air card, is dressed in what looks to be a lab or Doctor's coat with ordered geometric shapes defining his environment. The mechanism of time, and the ordered gears of manufactory, implying his day is under his ordered considerations. His "solar plexus" chakra is a mandala of ordered meditation, implying that there is no stress being corralled in this man's solar plexus. The third eye, and wings, also imply he is a messenger of peace. His mind and body are organised in function. For a disorganised mind, is unable to follow a routine that is conductive and productive. Therefore, the 4 of Air implies, that one should establish a pattern of order, by putting things back where they belong after you are done using them. Establishing an ordered pattern of regular housekeeping and/or cleaning also helps one feel secure and a gives a noticeable peace after they have left the outer "rat race" of work. Just take care of yourself, own the day by knowing it, by giving it order and not fearing "what I should do" or "have to do". I Am Life, ordered and secure and not the fearful animal who runs from one disordered catastrophe to another. We only have "no time" when we don't set it to order. Time, is easy to use by ordering your daily schedule, making you feel secure, but when you let time use you, you are a disaster going somewhere to happen!

When the Dreams of Gaia-4 of Air, is thrown in a divination, it implies:

  • Order your environment.
  • Banish clutter.
  • Clean your house.
  • Follow a routine.
  • Keep a time budget.
  • If you truly want something, you will make time for it. Be true to yourself.
  • Weed out bad habits by limiting time-wasters and distractions.
  • Remove negative influences.

Thoth-4 of swords-truce

In the 4 of Swords, this stability is a form of Truce, where equal tension, makes a stability of mental powers. Giving us the representation of a space in which regenerative energy can be sustained. Here it is suggested that one gives free reign to sorrow (3 of Swords), and therefore leading beyond it through self-knowledge and understanding of the sense of the suffering. With Jupiter/Chessed, it is time of a painful liberation with subsequent healing as the powers are centered, concentrated, and anchored into an intellectual wrapping of thought, shown by the position of the 4 swords as their tips support the 49 petaled "Rose of Heaven". To the perspicacious, comes the knowledge that sorrow brings with it its own healing. There is a certain emotional courage being presented here, as inner concentration connected with a willingness to go through painful experiences in order to grow from them, is shown in the balance of the 4 Swords. However, balancing by the sword- tips, is precarious, and one must express their sorrow, for represion will sever the connection.

The 4 of Swords represents Chesed in Yetzirah, influencing the astral world.

As you may know, mental creation happens in the fluid light of the Astral World before the manifestation is solidified in the Material World. Now you may not be able to clearly see that you are not a body....You really are a Yod (hand of God); an active creative in the Universal Collective Unconscious. Therefore your Real body, is the Tree of Life....the homo sapiens sapiens body is the incarnation, for sensual purposes, of lucidity in your "dreams" and resides within the solar corona of the Invisible you that is a Soul/Psyche. That Invisible you/Psyche- is as Jupiter, and in this card, Jupiter is in Libra, Thus the normal destructive Swords, are put to rest in the munificent, benevolent and loving nature of Jupiter.

The Rose of Heaven is restored and Self- Consciousness is settled, and a rest from strife is implied by the 4 of Swords. Jupiter in Libra radiates compassion and sensitivity showing the Mercy that is Chesed.

Here Jupiter claims authority in the intellectual world. Arguing for convention, Jupiter restores mental balance after the chaos of arbitrary thought.

In the 4 of Swords card, the hilts of the Swords, are formed into the corners of the St, Andrew's Cross, suggesting the rigidity and fixation implied in the 4 and also a symbol of the suffering of martyrdom; Hence the courage to face the suffering and grow. The Rose of 49 petals, in which the Swords are sheathed, suggesting social harmony.

Now, there is also a suggestion of compromise. As does Crowley, I find this compromise to be a less than positive factor. For truce as an act of an indolent mind, that would rather be pusillanimous and compromise for social peace rather than work out the issue through the promised struggle, is lacking the courage to face discomfort to achieve goals. However, it may be to keep the peace; but peace at any cost, is not always preferable.

When the four of Swords -Truce, is thrown during a reading:

  • There is mental understanding of a matter, or a relationship coming to full resolution on four levels of mental awareness: The Rational, The Emotional of the Unconscious, The Spiritual, and the Subconscious of the Physical.
  • Implications of problems that should not be ignored; listen to the inner self and answers will be restored.
  • A holding pattern after mastering a difficult mental situation.
  • Retreat or withdrawal necessary to heal or hide, by creating a protected mental space. Here insight may be generated by  limited seclusion.
  • A moment of logic and discriminating intelligence of integrity and planning.

The negatives of this card are often shown when surrounded by negative cards;

  • Forced retreat.
  • Isolation.
  • A bout of illness in order to recuperate.
  • The intellect is relinquishing control back to the body so that a time out from problems and solutions are achieved as the body has only to focus on getting better/balanced.
