The 9 of Wands-Strength, is the influence of Yesod, the 9th Sephiroth in the World of pure spirit. The Lunar powers do acquire great strength in Sagittarius, but being the Moon, there are two sides to this "coin"; Meaning, that successes are usually acquired by strife, apprehension and moments of insecurity.

The 9 of Wands also emphasizes the influencing strength of Woman/ Moon in this card. The Thoth Wand is a stylized Sun-phallus; the Womb wields the phallus. This is not a new concept as the ancient Egyptians believed that the Moon pulled the Sun across the sky.

The good health and strength of this card is certain, but it harbors doubt about the later course it may take. It is best to know the aphorism: "Change is Stability", when viewing this card. The Thoth card also illustrates the strength gained from intercourse. Here the Yoni-moon and Phallus-Sun unite to form an unbreakable bond known as Sacred Sexulaity.

Sexual intecourse will procure absolution of all sins.

Tao An (292-363)

The 9's may be considered the best that can be obtained from the type of forces involved, when regarded from a practical- material standpoint.

The Thoth 9 of Wands, shows 8 background Wands as Arrows (Sagittarius influence) and one Master Arrow in the forefront, sporting a Sun at one end as a driving force, and a Moon at the other end as its point. This implies that Sagittarius joins the Sun and the Moon, and that the Greatest Strength is the Balance of this coupling flow. The flow of Electric Male and Magnetic Female receptivity. Together, all that is Living Form, is from this flow and reception.

Add paragraph text here.

When we, as individuals, hermetically marry both the Male- Will to Force and the Female Will to Form and/or the Binah and Chokmah within, it is called an "Oneness" and it reveals all the 4 Worlds in a communion of the Sun (Father) and the Moon (Mother) a rhythm of intercourse that never ceases. The Tenfold flames of the card, imply that the Energy of the Solar Logos, is directed downward into the "reflection of being". Here is intellectual and emotional harmony. Where the idea and the emoted energy are on the same path. Now this may sound contradictory, as we think that our emotions, and/or energy-in-motion, is the only path. However, if I think about happiness, but declare," I am not sad", my thoughts are toward the concept of happiness, while my energy can only go to sadness. For in this Universe I AM...is the declaration of existence, and "not" is no-thing and absence of energy. Therefore, "not" is impossible in existence and is ignored by the energy; However, the brain is taught to believe in "not", but the energy-in-motion must go to somewhere to build the declared image in energy, so it goes to building what is in existence; the emotions go towards what we declare we are not. Therefore, it is best to get the Anima (imagination) and the Animus (Energy-intelligence) on the same track by declaring, "I AM Happiness". "Not" is not, in the realm of creation and energy. The sexual intercourse of imagination and ratioation and/or "rational thinking", must be in copulation, for pure creation. Indoctrination and dogma of the Patriarchy cause us all to cooperate in slavery rather than see the beautiful soul and nourish its growth in the intimate realm of matter. Souls grow powerful in union, and are starving, craving things when in fearful separation.

"What if we all helped each other to manifest our most beautiful, sexy, intelligent, creative and adventurous inner selves, instead of cooperating to suppress them?"

-Pat Califia on the cover of Sex Changes.

the tarot of the spirit-nine of fire-eye of fire

The Tarot of The Spirit- Nine of Fire-Eye of Fire, illustrates the peak experience and/or the arrival of one to such a peak of Self. Here, the Mountain, representing the material world, exudes a cone of light from a cube adorned with glyphs of the Moon and Sagittarius , that emanates (emotes) red hot wands/rods. Since mountains are moving triangular forces (fractals) they also represent the holy trinity of Mother and Father Divine Creative at the top of the Tree of Life. Hence, the meaning is both dualistic and paradoxical. Here "As above, so below" is represented as earth and heaven connected for the Divine Creative is a Collective/Fractal of energy and material.

According to the instruction book, the cone of light represents the lightning path of the Eight of Fire (yesterday's blog) that is now leaving the physical plane. The Eye (I) through which the red cylinders /wands emerge is the Pineal gland and/or "3rd eye" of the homo sapiens sapiens form. Through the 3rd eye (I) energy gives and receives universal messages. It is therefore, a Mercury and/or "messenger of the gods". These red rods of energy (emotions) move up the Tree of Life to the yellow "Sun/Son" and /or sphere of Tipareth the 6th Sephiroth. This Sun/Son is our Soul, the holy child that is outside and inside of all of us. Here, that "Golden Child", stands between overlapping repetitious circles of dark and light, dark and light, which represent the mobilizing power of Universal Dualities. The English word Six, comes from the Egyptian word "Sexen", which means copulation and/or sex. Hence, we can easily see, that from the communion of opposites, shadow and light, all forms are made.

Adam Khadmon-(the heavenly human)

The Divine Hermaphrodite

Central to this card, is a hot air balloon, shown harnessing the lightning energy of the Eight (8 is a glyph for 0=2) and has arisen from earth to the Sphere of Kether. Kether in Hebrew means "I Will Be", therefore, here is where what is emitted (emoted) from earthly being, becomes willful being. Emotion is energy-in-motion, so practice caution with emotive thought. For it will become so declared by Divinity, to the individual, i.e., from the below to the above, where it be destructive or constructive thought. The "I" of Kether (I will be, often shown as the "all seeing eye") is also the "I" of higher knowledge and when one unites the 0 of Kether and the Tau Cross of Chokmah-Binah-and the middle path of the Daath- Priestess (she is the Womb of Knowledge) we can get the Egyptian glyph of the Ankh, the uterus of the Womb where conception occurs. Here, Chokmah and Binah, intercourse and the resulting communion of Wisdom and Understanding, gives birth through the Middle path of the Priestess, to Tiphareth, the Sun/Son, from which all manifestation emanates. There is Only One Mind and it is reflected in fractales of Self-Awareness. The Tree of Life, is the Tree of Mind and Energy. The Soul, is a divine creative by inheritance as "child" of the Divine and is known as "your psyche". The Soul is the radiant Sun that combines "shadow and light" to form self-images (self-imaginings) as all paths of energy, join there and are expressed outward to the "lower realms" of crystallized light. Therefor, as a persona of the Soul, one's life path is a self-image/self-imagining. "Above all things, know thyself" by understanding the intercourse of the Moon and the Sun.

Yoni Yantra

The key to understanding the Tarot of The Spirit-Nine of Fire, is the same for the Thoth 9 of Wands, as it shows the dominant female triangle (Yoni) , which is shown containing the moon in the upper eye (I). Symbolizing the Move to the Universal Collective Unconscious, where the 3rd eye sees, and where the meeting and understanding of the deep inner-self (inner I ) occurs. When the I-Am and Me agree, one great power is presented as Self.

One must rise by that which one falls.

Hevajra Tantra

When the 9 of Wands-Strength is thrown during a reading, it implies:

  • Internal strength, recovery from illness, potency and spiritual force.
  • Yet, it is Moon in Yesod, so one may have to defend their ideas, but because of Sagittarius, they will not lack the strength to do so.
  • The 9 of Wands also implies that energy is brought back into balance, thus health restored.
  • Creatively, this card implies a peek experience in ability were one sees clearly and accurately, leading to solid creations that will have the strength to endure over time.
  • Here the Energy of the Spirit is rapid, interchanging both electric and magnetic energy, taking whatever action is necessary to restore balance and thus enable the Mind. (Moon is ruler of the Subconscious).
  • Intellectual and emotional harmony.

If ill defined by surrounding cards:

  • Contradictions.
  • Psychological injuries.
