Thoth Tarot-9 of Disks-Gain

The Thoth 9 of Disks Card is also called Lord of Material Gain. This colorful Thoth card represents gain on all levels that are physical and that influence the physical; Hence, emotional gain, spiritual gain, mental gain, and physical gain. However, this is also Venus in the house of Virgo implying there is a certain lack of overt feelings.

When Venus, the planet of love, beauty, and harmony, is placed in the sign of Virgo in an astrological birth chart, it influences the individual with a unique blend of energies. Here are the characteristics of Venus in the house of Virgo:

  1. Analytical Love Expression: Venus in Virgo tends to express love and affection in a practical and analytical manner. Instead of grand romantic gestures, individuals with this placement may show their love through acts of service, attention to detail, and practical support.

  2. Discerning Taste: People with Venus in Virgo have a keen eye for detail and a discerning taste when it comes to beauty and aesthetics. They appreciate refinement, cleanliness, and orderliness in their surroundings, and may be drawn to minimalist or practical styles.

  3. Practicality in Relationships: In relationships, Venus in Virgo seeks practicality and functionality. They may approach partnerships with a desire for stability, reliability, and efficiency. They value honesty, integrity, and practical problem-solving in their interactions with others.

  5. Service-Oriented Relationships: Venus in Virgo individuals often find fulfillment in serving and supporting others. They may derive satisfaction from helping their partners, friends, and loved ones in practical ways, such as offering advice, organizing events, or providing practical assistance.

  6. Perfectionism in Love: One challenge of Venus in Virgo is the tendency towards perfectionism in relationships. Individuals with this placement may have high standards for themselves and others, which can sometimes lead to nitpicking, criticism, or a tendency to focus on flaws rather than appreciating the beauty and uniqueness of their partners.

  7. Attention to Detail in Romance: When it comes to romance, Venus in Virgo pays attention to the small details. They may enjoy thoughtful gestures, thoughtful gifts, and expressions of affection that demonstrate careful consideration and attention to detail.

  8. Intellectual Connection: Venus in Virgo values intellectual connection and communication in relationships. They may seek partners who stimulate them mentally, engage in meaningful conversations, and share similar interests and values.

Overall, Venus in Virgo brings a blend of practicality, discernment, and attention to detail to matters of love, beauty, and relationships. It encourages individuals to approach love and partnerships with a focus on practicality, service, and attention to detail.

This card is about everything you have worked so hard for that is now fruitful. By making smart decisions and managing your money and time smartly, you can now enjoy the fruits of your labor. It is an enjoyable time to treat yourself to something decadent.

I Am a Money Tree!

Everyone knows that money doesn't fall from the sky (Unless you are DB Cooper), and that effort is often required to achieve success. The Thoth 9 of Disks suggests hitting the mark. A bull’s eye card which shows you are financially right on the mark because your heart (soul), mind, and Spirit are in union. In other words, you are creatively focused and have enabled gain on all levels of determined and persistent performance. You are successful because you haven't listened to the False ego and/or Shadow Self of the subconscious mind (the devil within) that tried to stone you with doubt and fears. Instead, you used diligent, and persistent performance to shatter the dark "tar and feathered" doubts that tried to keep your brain in the slavery of the Patriarchy with the active light of "I AM worthy of All".

On the Thoth card the blue circle symbolizes wisdom linked with our loving nature, (the pink circle), in a creative way (which is the green circle). This card also shows us that by utilizing our dynamic creative male energy (shown as the top coins with the planetary signs of Saturn, Mars, and Jupiter) we shall experience such gain.

Saturn/Cronos

  • Saturn is the sign of the helmeted warrior who knows what his limits and boundaries are and is paying attention to detail.
  • The feathered cap symbol of Mars indicates that energy, vitality, and assertion are a vital part of gain.
  • Jupiter, the King, reminds us that flexibility, being open to opportunity, expands our leadership skills that are also needed to experience material gain. But this is only half of gain, to be complete we need the feminine power of Maid, Mother and Crone, which are represented by the lower three coins:
  1. The Maid is the youthful bare headed feminine figure that is the power of Venus and reminds us to follow our heart.
  2. The coin with the Feminine figure that has a Queen's hat (Mother) is Mercury and reminds us that communication skills and nurturing leadership skills are needed to experience material gain.
  3. The feminine figure with the Crescent Moon headdress is the Wise Woman (Crone) who reminds us that we must be true to ourselves and to be authentic in our actions.

The Thoth 9 of Disks card represents Yesod in Assiah and/or the influence of Yesod in the Material World. Yesod, meaning foundation, in the material world and therefore, this influence is very favorable for amassing things but with Venus in Virgo there is a lack of celebratory feelings accompanying this great efficiency.

This efficient amassing of material things is shown by the design complexity of Crowley's 9 of Disks. As he states in his book of Thoth, The Disks are arranged as an equilateral triangle of three, apex upwards, close together; and surrounded at some distance by a ring, six larger disks in the form of a hexagram. This signifies the multiplication of the original established Word by the mingling of 'good luck and management'." Which says it all for this card. The "original established Word" is that of the First Sephiorth Kether whose Hebrew- God Name is-Eheieh, meaning "I Will Be". Hence, you exist because you are supposed to and to fulfill your purpose is "to be present". But to be present, you must know yourself. You are the light in your life and the shadow it leaves behind. Time to stand in your Solar Power as the Celestial Being of Light that you are and declare the Wealth of you being you!

The Astromatrix Tarot- 9 of Pentacles

The Astromatrix Tarot- 9 of Pentacles depicts a Lady of Material Gain who is standing in front of her fruitful grape vines. Amongst these fertile grapes, are nine golden pentacles representing wealth. This card's artistic inspiration looks to come from the Rider-Waite-Smith 9 of Pentacles. However, there is no falcon representing royalty; However, there is a well-dressed lady of wealth and health presented. She is more apropos as she represents the Goddess of Wealth and Fortune-Fortuna.

Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot-9 of Pentacles (RWS).

Here both the Astromatrix and Waite depicts the divination meaning of inheritance or material gain. The medieval theme of a Lady of inherited wealth and her falcon (RWS), implying royalty. She is out in the lush pentacle blooming landscape symbolizing continual growth and success as does the fertile Mediterranean scene of the Astromatrix Tarot Card. This continual growth is also symbolized by the roses on the RWS Lady's gown and the Rose color of the Astromatrix Lady's gown. Everything is fruitful, golden, and warm, and gain is all around on both cards. The female figure subtly implies that the Goddess Venus is enjoying the fruitfulness of earth.

Therefore, all these symbols combined indicate that this is a person whose success was earned thanks to one's own skills of being Present as the Solar Being of Light: a passionate expression of I AM without need of result. When do what you love and love what you do, you will enjoy wealth and gain on the Spirit-Mind-Body planes of existence. Many of us think doing what you love is just a hobby. However, take a risk, do what you love and get paid for it! You'll find that wealth is more than just coin of the land.
