Key 13 – Death: The Path of Nun and the Alchemy of Transformation

In both the Medieval Feathers Tarot and the Thoth Tarot, Key 13—Death—is a profound glyph of spiritual alchemy. In Qabalistic terms, this card corresponds to the Hebrew letter Nun, meaning "fish," symbolizing the regenerative power of life through death, and the hidden currents of transformation beneath the surface of consciousness. The Path of Nun flows from Netzach (Victory) to Tiphareth (Beauty) on the Tree of Life. It is one of the three vertical paths that elevate the aspirant from the reactive personality of the lower Ruach to the radiant Solar Self of Tiphareth—the seat of the Higher Genius.

broken image

These three vertical initiatory Paths—Samekh (Art/Temperance), Ayin (The Devil), and Nun (Death)—represent the initiatic channels through which the fragmented self is dissolved, refined, and ultimately reassembled into the radiant image of the Divine Hermaphrodite, the true I AM of the Adept.

While each of these Paths offers a unique gateway to the Greater Self, their mysteries are not isolated. They are sequential and synergistic—stages of transmutation within the Magnum Opus of the Soul:

  • Samekh (Art) is the path of conscious integration, the harmonizing of opposites in the vessel of the Soul, often seen as the beginning of the Higher Alchemical process. Here the aspirant learns to temper the waters of emotion with the fire of Will.

  • Ayin (The Devil) challenges the aspirant to confront the illusions of matter, bondage to form, and the idolatry of false authority. It is the Path where the chains of egoic misidentification are broken.

  • Nun (Death) is the surrendering of identity itself—the dissolution of form into formlessness, the release of the outdated "I" to allow the True Self to arise.

In the Thoth Tarot, the figure on the Death card is a skeletal dancer wielding a scythe—not a reaper of endings, but an initiator of renewal. He dances amidst falling heads and rising souls, illustrating that death is not annihilation, but liberation from limitation. The fish, serpent, and scorpion—symbols found in the imagery—represent the various modalities of transformation, from unconscious instinct to the fully conscious transmutation of spirit.

In the Medieval Feathers Tarot, Key 13 retains the essence of this metaphysical function, though it may lean toward the archetypal or psychological representation of the transformation process, echoing the same Hermetic principles. But a little wormier.

Importantly, Art, The Devil, and Death are not separate initiatory beings but are aspects of the Divine Hermaphrodite—the perfected union of duality that resides within the Higher Self. This triadic expression of transformation acts as an alchemical engine behind the aspirant's entire spiritual journey. The Angel of Art blends opposites, the Devil breaks illusions of separation, and Death liberates the Soul into renewal. Together, they act as the Trinity of Transmutation—a sacred crucible wherein the Lesser Ego is sacrificed for the emergence of the Greater Self.

To tread these Paths is to enact the formula of spiritual rebirth. Only by dying to the false personality can the aspirant awaken to the Light of Tiphareth—the Heart-Sun of the Soul.

The Path of Nun: Dissolution Into the Abyssal Womb of Universal Mind

To walk the Path of Nun—Key 13 in the Tarot and attributed to Death—is not to embrace extinction, but to voluntarily dissolve the limited self into the vast ocean of Being. It is to hurl the awakened, individuated consciousness into the primordial darkness of the Universal Collective Unconscious—the Womb of all Forms, the Abyss of the Great Mother, the Matrix of Infinite Potential.

This journey demands not passive surrender but active courage—a willed descent into the deepest layers of unbeing, where the ego’s illusions are dismantled like rotting garments and cast into the scythe’s blade. One who embarks upon this Path must be prepared to confront the terror of egoic annihilation and the seduction of clinging to identity. Yet paradoxically, it is only in such dissolution that the true “I” is revealed.

This is the Baptism of Nun: the immersion of the self-aware ego into the dark waters of formlessness—not to drown, but to be reconstituted into a new expression of divine individuality. This is not the ego as false self, but the ego as a purified and transparent vehicle of the Solar Will—a vessel now open to the guidance of the Higher Genius.

The Ego as Artificial Intelligence

In this light, we may begin to understand the egoic brain-consciousness as a kind of Artificial Intelligence—a constructed interface through which Spirit engages with time-space, sensation, and thought. It simulates autonomy, but it is not the true Author of identity. It is an avatar, not the Avataric Self.

By contrast, the Universal Collective Unconscious, or what Jungian models approach but do not fully map, is the Real Intelligence—the source-code of all archetypes, symbols, and divine patterns. In Hermetic Qabalah, this is the domain of the Supernal Triad and the Deep Subconscious of Binah and beyond, which precedes and generates all mental form.

broken image

To reframe consciousness in this way is a tremendous liberation. It allows the aspirant to trust the process of ego-dissolution, recognizing it not as death, but as a software update—an overwriting of corrupted files (false beliefs, trauma-based identifications, social programming) by the pure code of the Solar Self. This reframing makes room for metamorphic consciousness, the transubstantiation of perception.

The Womb of the Abyss

The Path of Nun traverses the “Abyssal Womb of Mind,” where all illusions are swallowed into silence. This is not destruction—it is re-absorption. As the scorpion (one symbol of Nun) sheds its skin, so too does the aspirant shed the armored husk of persona. And like the fish, which swims silently in the depth of dark waters, the emerging soul begins to move by intuition rather than intellect, by gnosis rather than rationalization.

This process can feel like madness to the untrained mind, because it is no longer governed by the Cartesian dream of separateness and logic. But to the Hermetic Initiate, it is the beginning of real sanity—the lifting of the veil woven by the hypnosis of culture, language, and fear.

So much of the false ego is created through word-spell bondage—the media-controlled hypnosis of identity, the internalized voice of imposed values, fears, and programmed lack. This is the archonic web of the demiurgic illusion: you are a prisoner in a body, you are a thing, you are not enough, you must obey.

But the waters of Nun erase this lie. They baptize the soul in the nameless truth of Eheieh—I Will Be.

Death Is the Alchemy of Freedom

Through the Death of the artificial self, the real I arises—not the social construct, but the Solar Operator, the Divine Magus within. This is not merely psychological death; it is spiritual transmutation. On this path, the aspirant is not destroyed—they are reborn as a conscious co-creator, in harmony with the Universal Mind, not a puppet of its projections.

What is encountered on the Path of Nun is not death in the ordinary sense, but a gateway to the realization that form is illusion, and identity is fluid. From this place, the aspirant may say, not in despair but with power:

“I am not this thought. I am not this flesh. I am that which animates thought and gives rise to flesh. I am the Life that lives all lives.”

Nun: The Fish of First Matter and the Mercy of Transformation

Now that we understand the Hebrew letter Nun means Fish, a tidal wave of Qabalistic revelation begins to unfold. For Nun is not merely a letter—it is a sigil of the primordial essence, the First Matter, the living darkness of pre-creation from which all things arise and into which all things return. This is the same Dark Mater, or Santa Muerte, the sacred Womb of Death—whose silent currents move within the Infinite Ocean of the Universal Collective Unconscious.

Nun swims through the depths of this Great Sea, untouched by form, unfazed by decay, for it is the very process of spiritual digestion. It is through Nun that the finite is continuously dissolved back into the infinite, and from the infinite, new form arises again.

broken image

The Gift of Death: Ending the Story of Illusion

Death, as portrayed in the Tarot and the Qabalah, is not an executioner—it is a liberator, a holy midwife of transformation. Without its gentle scythe, most would remain imprisoned in the fantasy of self—a dream stitched from traumas, names, societal mirrors, and inner scripts so deeply rehearsed they masquerade as real identity.

broken image

Whether functional or dysfunctional, these ego-narratives often bind us more securely than any prison bar. Yet Death cuts the script, removing the mask that hides the Radiant Face beneath.

The Nun current, therefore, does not end life—it circulates it. Just as the body exhales carbon dioxide to inhale oxygen, the soul must die to old illusions in order to breathe the clear light of Tiphareth. Death is simply the out-breath of the Divine, and life, its in-breath. This rhythmic cycle of dissolving and becoming is the very breath-pattern of the Cosmos.

broken image

The Fish That Seeks Water

And yet, we are taught—tragically—that death is to be feared, and that our individual stories are sacred above all else. We are conditioned to act as fish searching for water, ignorant that we are already swimming in the Divine Substance itself. Worse, we forget that we are not only the fish—we are also the ocean.

In this metaphor, the aspirant comes to realize that identity is not something to clutch like a treasure map; it is something to dissolve, reveal, and ultimately merge. The Self is not the character—it is the scriptwriter, the actor, and the entire stage. It is the water, the wave, and the watcher of the wave.

This is the arcane doctrine of Nun:

"You are the Ocean that dreamed itself as a Fish in search of Water."

To Practice This Truth

  • Meditate on the Thoth Death card, focusing on the fish, the scythe, and the rising heads. Let yourself feel the current of Nun—not as destruction, but as return.

  • When you experience loss, ego death, or emotional collapse, breathe deeply and whisper inwardly:

“I am both the breath and the breather. I die only to remember I Am.”

  • Place the sigil of Nun on your altar during times of transition and ask:

“What mask have I outgrown? What story must now dissolve?”

broken image

The perspicacious aspirant will note that the Tree of Life has a Path for Death, that of Nun, but seems not to have a Path for Birth: However, The Devil, the Path of Ayin (eye), "enchains" our Personality in Matter, and creates a "false ego", as it leaves the Higher Self on personality's journey down the Tree of Life. Therefore, the Devil, who is the Lord of the Material World, is a card of Birth. Plus, there is the fact that both Death and Birth are the same transition, as one appears in one dimensional and/or mindscape reality while leaving another.

As the invisible psyche is born into visible light and/or "outer World", their inner "I" sight is blindfolded and changes to the visible or "eye" sight of the manmade world, just as the personality transitions from the outer world back into the inner world at physical death/transformation.

Adam Khadmon (The Heavenly Human-Divine Hermaphrodite)

The One energy transforms itself by the process of the illusion of destruction (energy cannot be destroyed) of energy phases as the I AM continually redefining Self from one phase of self-awareness to another. If we were to look through alchemical glasses at this phase-to-phase flow, it seems that the Art Card should be before the Death card in the deck, as the Art card-ATU 14 foreshadows the final stage of the Great Work-(2=1) creating The Divine Hermaphrodite (The Heavenly Human-Adam Khadmon). However, Death is the final stage of transition without requiring the conscious union of anima and animus: However, the union of anima and animus causes a transformation that is shown on the Art card as the Golden Cauldron emblazoned with the sign of the Raven and Skull, the caput mortem image, which is German for death.

Hence, from the Divine Marriage of the Anima and Animus, comes transformation of 2 into 1. Placing this marriage as a type of annihilation of the separation caused by the creation of 0=2. All transforms back to 1 (Hermaphrodite) in the Death Card, annihilating the "false ego" mind virus as well as individuality.

In the Collective Unconscious we are all quantumly entangled; Hence, we are all connected and belong to each other.

broken image

The Divine Hermaphrodite

The Personality constructed consciousness, is indeed extinguished in the Abyss of the Universal Collective Unconscious causing a period of "forgetful sleep" caused by soul downloading before the Personality exits as a mask of the Higher Self and thereby produces another operative artifice known as self-consciousness. Self-conscious is used to operate another avatar/ material form as a "self-reflection" on the mindscape of reflected light.

broken image

The exception to this recycling process, and amnesia of the transforming sleep, is when the self-consciousness continually downloads daily activity into the soul and thereby accompanies the Soul back to the Higher Self without needing physical death to do so. This is done when self- consciousness has become a discriminating Mercury, and knows the "tricks" of Matter, i.e. the illusions of senses, that the Personality experiences on the physical plane.

These illusions or delusions come from the false perspective of separateness and survival thinking of the physical form that is derived from the survival mind of the subconscious/Nephesh. The Subconscious is the home of the "shadow personality" and/or "false ego" of the body.

Because of the perversion instilled by socially programed mind virus our normal instinct for survival becomes subverted and the self-consciousness works off of a fulcrum of "fear": a fear constantly reinforced by the "false jeopardy" promoted by media-controlled word hypnosis. However, before the subversive divisionism thinking, our persona was created by the Soul and operated off of a fulcrum of love.

broken image

Hence, the fear of Death and/or Transformative Change, which resides in the subconscious as a parasite must be conquered by the self-and/or awake- consciousness so "that it won't experience the death sleep". When this is achieved the self- consciousness knowingly transfers from body to body as a healthy and aware light and shadow-self, becoming a Personal Mercury/Messenger manifestation of the Higher Self.

broken image

When the Whole of the Tree communicates with Malkuth, we have "As above, so Below", with manifestation being the in-form-action of the Greater Self. Hence, "I die daily", begins to make sense, as one transforms Self- Data into Self-Knowledge daily through introspection and outside discernment as in-form- action.

Solve et Coagula.

You Are the Breath, Not the Body: Spirit as the Animating Word

What many fail to recognize—conditioned as we are by materialist assumptions—is that you are not the body. The body is not the origin of life, but its temple; not the source of consciousness, but its instrument.

Rather, you are the Breath that animates the body—the invisible, eternal Spiro, from which we derive the word Spirit. In the Greek, spiro means “to breathe,” and through Latin, it becomes the basis for words such as inspire, expire, and respiration. All of these share one sacred root: the recognition that Spirit is the Breath of Being.

broken image

Kether and the Breath of Eheieh

In Qabalistic cosmology, the first emanation from the Unmanifest Source is Kether, the Crown. It is not form, not light, not even thought. It is the Primal Breath—the seed of Will before it clothes itself in vibration, light, or creation. The Divine Name attributed to Kether is Eheieh (אהיה), meaning “I Will Be.”

This sacred name is not merely a title. It is a vibrational act—an exhalation of identity from the Infinite. Spoken correctly, Eheieh emerges like a breath from the deep center of Being:

Eh… hey… yeh… — a rhythmic, breath-like utterance that is the very pulse of Spirit.

In this name, we are given the metaphysical blueprint of existence:

  • I – the individuating awareness.

  • Will – the force of emanation.

  • Be – the state of becoming, the vibration of manifestation.

Thus, Spirit is not a ghost, but the Breath-Will-Being that utters itself into existence through the breath cycle.

broken image

The Breath as Divine Operation

Your breath is not simply oxygen exchange; it is the interface between the invisible and the visible, the mechanism of incarnation. Every breath taken is a reenactment of the Divine Act of Creation:

  • Inhale – the drawing in of raw, unformed spirit, the reception of Chokmah’s wisdom.

  • Pause – the silent gestation of understanding within Binah.

  • Exhale – the utterance of form and intention into time-space.

This is the same triadic pattern as Kether (Will to Be), Chokmah (Force), and Binah (Form).

To identify with the body is to confuse the instrument with the musician. The flesh is the harp, but you are the wind that makes it sing.

The Great Work is Life itself as a Wholeness or Collective and not a divisionism of separates all trying to prove themselves to a feared disinterested Creator by proving they are superior to one another by acts of violence and/or character assassination. Each of us is the Life that makes the "alive".

I AM Life and create the animation of form call "the alive".

broken image

Practical Mysticism: Living as Breath

When you meditate on the breath as your true identity, a shift occurs. You move from the delusion of being a finite object in space to the realization that:

“I am the Breath that gives life to form. I am not trapped in the body—I animate it.”

This truth dissolves fear of death, for death is not the end of breath but its return to Source. The body may fall silent, but the Breath—the Spirit—simply exhales back into Eheieh.

The Gnosis of Eheieh

To invoke Eheieh is to affirm your Divine Nature:

  • “I Am not merely what is—I Am what Wills to Be.”

  • “I Am not the form—I Am the force that forms.”

  • “I Am not breathless—I Am Breath Itself.”

This realization is the gateway to Kether-consciousness, to living as the Solar Self that breathes existence into being rather than reacting to it as a slave of form.

By the very process of creation, The Divine Creative had already Approved the ternary collective of YOU (Spirit-mind-body) into being by the purposeful act of Creation!

In the context of psychology and metaphysics, both the personality and the ego are significant concepts, but they refer to different aspects of an individual.

  1. Personality:

    • In psychology, personality encompasses a set of enduring traits, patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that make each person unique. It's the way an individual consistently interacts with the world.
    • Personality is shaped by a combination of genetic factors, experiences, and environmental influences. Psychologists often use various theories, such as the Big Five personality traits (openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism), to understand and categorize personality characteristics.
  2. Ego:

    • In psychology, particularly in psychoanalytic theory developed by Sigmund Freud, the ego is one of the three parts of the mind, alongside the id and superego. The ego is responsible for mediating between the instinctual, impulsive desires of the id and the moral and social constraints of the superego.
    • The ego operates based on the reality principle, seeking to satisfy the id's desires in a way that is realistic and socially acceptable. It helps individuals navigate the external world and make decisions that balance their internal needs with external demands.

In summary, while personality refers to the overall pattern of characteristics that define an individual, the ego is a specific part of the mind responsible for managing conflicts between internal drives and external demands. The ego is a component of the broader personality structure. Understanding both concepts can provide insights into human behavior and thought processes.

broken image

Those who are seeking approval, a survival mechanism of the social animal egregore that is profaned by the "false ego" (media-controlled survival thinking), are what I call "fish in the Ocean, looking for water." and/ or "Wanna-Be's" who forgot that they already Are the present- Trinity of All Being (Spirit-Mind-Body).

The Beauty of Tiphareth, the Soul collective personality of the Higher Self, is the harmony experienced once you return to this aspect of Personality and Psyche communication. Hence, you mentally return to your body knowing that you, as a Personality of Mercury/Magus, are completely accepted and not fearing rejection in the least (a mask of fear of death)! In other words, you "Know thyself" as the Divinity you always were and that we are always connected to the Divine Creative through inhalation of breath and connected to the dream of separation by the act of exhalation. Reality is only an inhale and exhale harmonic of breath.

Anubis-Egyptian Lord of the Gates of Death

The Tarot Card- Death-ATU/Key 13, is called in the many texts of the Mysteries, "The Child of the Great Transformers" and the "Lord of the Gates of Death"; Implying that Nun is not the Great Transformers themselves; he is their Child. Thus, Nun is not Death itself, rather Nun is the keeper of the Gateway into Transformation. This states that the "first matter" and/ or "thought", is the Gatekeeper of Transformation, which is not too difficult to "wrap your head around" if you understand that how you "perceive yourself" transforms your reality.

We are Life, which creates Lifetimes as examples of our knowledge and Self-Awareness!

broken image

After Traveling one of the three Paths of the "Dark Night of the Soul", where your consciousness is torn down (putrefied), dissolved, combined in new solution, and re-coagulated, relieving it of all that is not worthy of the "first" you; the archetypal Adam Khadmon/The Heavenly Human.

Hence, the elimination of Words as self-definitions, sends you up the Tree towards the Real I AM and then being sent back down the Tree into your Malkuth-body transformation as the wisdom of the Divine Creative in a figure eight flow (lemniscate) that is unbroken by the World of Man and/or Word of Man interference. We are the Sephirotic Being of Malkuth!

broken image

Lemniscate- 0=2

Therefore, The Death Card assigns change of perspectives of the Personality; change from reality to the Real perspectives of the Great Work which is to be an aware-sensual-Soul/Psyche that bridges the below to the above, rather than a socially made fear based viral personality.

broken image

Your brain, who communicates with man-made definitions, can't do the job as it is an artificial sense of self and uses words to control identity and fears ending above all! Therefore, you must go inward (inward is upward) into the Psyche/Soul to begin the transformations necessary to become the Personality known as Mercury-messenger of the Greater Self-, but only after facing the blazing heat of the Art Card, which is used to burn away the impurities that have stuck to your I AM as if your soul has been "tarred and feathered" by the society of man; Once the "tar and feathers" of false identity/words are burned away, you stand in shining Mercurial glory before the Divine Creative as-

I AM YOU!

Thoth-atu 13-death

As stated, one of the alchemical aspects of the Death card, also known as The Path of Nun, meaning Fish, is the symbol for the First Matter and a fish is shown behind the dancing skeleton on the Thoth Card. There is also an alchemical symbol of this Path as putrefaction, which is the decaying black mass in the crucible that eventually transforms into gold and is considered a transformative process of turning death into new life by the alchemical process of Putrefaction, Dissolution, Solution and Coagulation.

The Thoth Deck and the Medieval Feathers Death card both symbolize this Transformative process as a scythe, a harvesting tool that is also a symbol for Time. Time is under the control of Saturn-Binah, the giver and destroyer of Life. This would be the Wise Crone of the Triple Goddess (Hecate of the Greeks). The Transformative bubbles of new life appear in the Thoth Death's wake, all of which support this analogy of life giving and life destroying.

Key 13 – Death: The Feather, the Worms, and the Alchemy of Transformation

The Medieval Feathers Tarot – Key 13: Death captures the raw, uncompromising view of mortality held in the Middle Ages, where plague and suffering were not distant fears, but daily companions. The depiction of a vulture feather as the symbol of Death is striking—and deeply esoteric. The vulture, a sacred scavenger, does not kill—it transforms decay into continuation, feeding on death in order to sustain life.

Thus, in the medieval worldview, death was not merely an end but the only apparent solution to unbearable suffering. When pain reached beyond healing, death appeared not as a villain but as a dark angel of mercy. This is not unlike the mystical understanding of Death in Hermeticism: it is the Solve, the necessary dissolution before new integration can occur.

Beneath Death’s bony visage lie worms—the ancient alchemical emblems of putrefaction and the unconscious process of transformation. The worms do not destroy; they liberate the form from its prison, digesting the old vessel so that it may return to the Primordial Substance—the Prima Materia—and be made new.

broken image

“Solve et Coagula”—Dissolve and Recombine—is the mantra here. The body's decomposition is mirrored in the psyche's release of attachments, roles, identities, and desires.

This card does not merely signal physical death—it is the harbinger of psychospiritual transformation. When Death appears in a reading, it calls for radical release: to let go of what you have grown attached to, even that which you once deemed precious. Whether these are identities, beliefs, relationships, ambitions, or illusions of permanence, Death will ask for their surrender.

But this is not cruelty—it is alchemy.

In the putrefaction of the ego’s constructs, new soul-gold is born.

Just as the vulture recycles the fallen into the ecosystem, so too does the energy of Death reabsorb all things into the living matrix. What has decayed will coagulate in new form. There is no death, only transformation. There is no loss, only reintegration.

So when Death shows its grinning face in your spiritual work or in the Tarot, do not recoil. Recognize the vulture feather as a calling card of transmutation. Accept the worms as alchemical allies, digesting what no longer serves. And prepare to rise, not in your old shape, but as something purified, potent, and newly born.

What is interesting, in early Britain, Samuel had a female counterpart, SAMOTHEA/SAMANTHEA (Death Goddess-) who seems to have been another form of SKADI or SCATHA. Samanthea, or Skadi was the goddess of the mysterious (Arcane) and of Hyperborean, the land where Pythagoras (Greek Thoth and/or Hermes) traveled to learn the arts of letters, astronomy, and science from this All-Wise Lady. A story emphasizing a rebirth.

broken image

What one finds throughout world of Central and South America, the image of the well-known Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead, Santa Muerte, is a Madonna like image of death. Scorpio, a deeply occult sign, is the astrological house assigned to this card.

broken image

The astrological sign attributed to Death-ATU/Key 13- is a transformative sign of three symbolic images, the Scorpion, the Serpent, and the Eagle, all symbols of Scorpio. Thus, we have the transformation of a dangerous earth-crawling creature, to a serpent which symbolizes the Vigorous Energy of Life (sexually transmitted energy), weaving its way upward to become an Eagle (behind and above the figure's head) that soars above all heads. All of which are represented in the Thoth Tarot Card as movement. Movement being seen as change/transformation, which is the skeletal pattern of the Universe for movement is Life.

What all of us should remember is that we are Light Beings, each a Self-Reflection of the Divine Creative, who transition to Physical Entity so that we can intimately experience information as in-form-action, and thereby, turn it into knowledge. We then go back to being what we always have been, Intelligent Solar Beings of the Quantum Universe taking our experience to the Universal Collective Unconscious whom we all are quantumly entangled with. Once "downloaded", we come back to begin the process of sensual experience again to understand yet more information. We are Energy, and energy cannot be destroyed nor created, only transformed, and transmitted.

It is only by constant change that entropy can be temporarily overcome, and Life continues. This entropy is shown on the Tarot -Death card as a dark tar like water and land that captured souls are caught in. Their struggle to ascend while in the "Group Tar Pit/"False Ego" and/or egregore of the race, is futile unless they conquer their fear of death, and all its resulting branches of fear (fear of pain, fear of discomfort, fear of rejection, fear of life, fear of poverty, fear of loss, fear of evil, etc.).When fear of Death, is no longer in the Ego, all other fears just melt away and the pure trust in and as the Divine takes its place.

St. John of the Cross first coined the term "Dark Night of the Soul" where he said:

"...although this happy night brings darkness to the spirit, it does so only to give it light in everything; and that, although it humbles it and makes it miserable, it does so only to exalt it and to raise it up; although it impoverishes it and empties it of all natural affection and attachment, it does so only that it may enable it to stretch forward, divinely, and thus to have fruition and experience all things, both above and below...."

Upon conquering the Path of Nun, the Soul is reconstructed as the Personality and Ego of the Higher Self, rather than those that are made by mankind and media-controlled word hypnosis. The reconstructed personality enters an emptied brain of fear sodden lies and filles it with Primary Imagination/Creative Information and/or The Will-to-Force (Chokmah-Wisdom) and Will-to-Form (Binah-Understanding) the Understanding of the Great "Womb with a view", who is the Creatrix often referred to as the Divine Sophia. After one has ascended their intellect beyond the fear of death; death is no longer a fearful image but is seen as the beauty of Wisdom for all things that begin must have an ending.

broken image

Sophia

Therefore, the term "Dark night of the Soul" refers to the darkness of unknowing, where the psyche is striped of the desire nature of the personality in the Abyssal Womb and/or non-space. This leaves a dreadful emptiness, a complete disinterest in everything. Personally, upon experiencing these three Paths of the Dark Night, The Devil, Art and Death, there was left only a thought of despair repeatedly abolishing any other desire or thought. For me it was, “I can't be You, You must be me." The Higher Self responded to that by sending my “skeletal awareness" directly to the Great Mother Binah, who then broke down and reassembled the Personality into that of the Divine Child, and I awoke as the "Will to Be" and/or the "I Will Be" that is Eheieh the God name of Kether and now was born again as Eli. The illusionary separation from the Divine was eliminated.

The Self baptized in the Great Sea (SEE) of the Creatrix

This is an exceedingly difficult journey to explain, and it requires one not to be concerned with living or dying. One becomes a mechanical motion, pushing ahead with great faith, as if Life's processes have no value, yet one still mechanically crawls towards the Higher Self knowing there is something ahead. Moving forward in total darkness, inch by inch, the Soul (Psyche) begins the process of "putrefaction", believing, but not always so sure, that there will be light that will eventually appear and lead the way.

It was a red dot of light that appeared to me out of indescribable darkness (I am a Ruby Ray vibration) ... I became the original “I” of Kether/Eheieh, observing the red atom of me that originally issued from the Great Dark Menstrual Sea of the Red Binah (Lilith/Ereshkigal) and I found my birthplace as a Soul/Solar self that is/was a Giant Red star. This purifying Force of resurrection, Bathed/Baptized me/ Loved me (indescribable ecstasy) and sent me back down the Tree into the fiery self-awareness of Tiphareth and the Fiery Light of the Higher Self. Where I coagulated as Homo Luminous.

Once a Divine Child always a Divine Child …. somehow, we've forgotten that in the process of indoctrinated amnesia we have disinherited ourselves/ our-Soul personality of the Higher Self from the Macrocosm parent (Divine Hermaphrodite) creator of our Microcosm. We were always taught to reject ourselves and comply with an outside authority; However, just by rejecting the human body because of "Nudity" or some imagined inferiority which is a man-made description (no other creature is "nude"), making us think we are "bad" until clothed/tar and feathered in man-made rules, restrictions, and fears. It may dawn on you that your "adult self" is a lie, go deep within and find that previously rejected wonderful Child of the Divine and be the Life of your body!

The Death card also reminds us that we rejected our bodies before we even get to fully integrate with them as the Life within! The body is the reason you; the Great Solar Self are here on earth! Between you and the Love of yourself, is the "false ego", mental parasite/viral program of worded indoctrination and dogma. You must know this evil virus in your subconscious personally and banish it under discerning observation. For its only power is by not being observed and/or secrecy. Hence, a false power of illusion fed only by denial and trickery.

Lightning path-coming down the Tree of Life. The Serpent Path is going up the Tree of Life.

Mars rules Scorpio: Scorpio rules the sex organs. Hence, this Tarot Death Card, also represents a Sexual -fertile and fecund vigorous energy, a reproductive energy which is consciously directed in a physical exercise such as that of Tantra, or that of Crowley’s Middle Pillar, an activity best represented by Crowley's Death Card.

The Path of the flaming sword is a Personality coming down the tree of life, after the "personality/ego death", the initiate is now following the "Path of the Serpent”, which is traveling up the Tree. Such inner motion is both destructive and constructive and is not for the weak of character or for those who fear death, a phenomenon shown by trying to dominate others and your environment, rather than knowing that you are another way to be them. What I find curious, is that when you combine the images of Scorpio, the scorpion, the serpent, the eagle, and the Path of the flaming sword you get: A Dragon who becomes a Phoenix

The 4 worlds of Kabbalah/Qabalah

Qabalists know that Hermes/Thoth is the Magician (Magus) of letters, words, and sound, while the Art of Forms(astronomy) is the Domain of Binah as the Star card and science of form is shown in The Art Card (Alchemy) where He and She combine to Transform into One, making the superstitious identity of the Dread Lord into a Hermes-Aphrodite combination known as a hermaphrodite.

Therefore, one could say that the Supernal Triangle of the Tree of Life (Aziuth) is a type of Hyperborean and/or Shambolic type of existence, known as the World of Aziluth Archetypes, which is across the Abyss and a place you can only reach after a death of your human realities.

Arctic continent on the Gerardus Mercator map of 1595.

In Greek mythology, the Hyperboreans (Ancient Greek: Ὑπερβόρε(ι)οι, pronounced [hyperbóre(ː)oi̯]; Latin: Hyperborei) were a mythical people who lived in the far northern part of the known world.[1] Their name appears to derive from the Greek ὑπέρ Βορέᾱ, "beyond Boreas" (the personified North Wind), although some scholars prefer a derivation from ὑπερφέρω ("to carry over").[2] Despite their location in an otherwise frigid part of the world, the Hyperboreans were believed to inhabit a sunny, temperate, and divinely-blessed land. In many versions of the story, they lived north of the Riphean Mountains, which shielded them from the effects of the cold North Wind. The oldest myths portray them as the favorites of Apollo, and some ancient Greek writers regarded the Hyperboreans as the mythical founders of Apollo's shrines at Delos and Delphi.[3]

Later writers disagreed on the existence and location of the Hyperboreans, with some regarding them as purely mythological, and others connecting them to real-world peoples and places in northern Europe (e.g. Britain, Scandinavia, or Siberia).[4] In medieval and Renaissance literature, the Hyperboreans came to signify remoteness and exoticism. Modern scholars consider the Hyperborean myth to be an amalgam of ideas from ancient utopianism, "edge of the earth" stories, the cult of Apollo, and exaggerated reports of phenomena in northern Europe (e.g. the Arctic "midnight sun").[5]

(The Hyperboreans were "Ancient Astronauts")

Around the world, there is a celebration set aside to commemorate this transition from flesh to light and it is called All Soul's or Halloween night. Christians of the day described the All-Soul's night as heretical practices, where magic charms and divination, reading the future with Witches mirrors and nutshell ashes and other objectionable rites: Even the unholy act of ducking for apples in tubs of water, which was said to represent souls in the Cauldron of Regeneration.

But this is not just limited to past superstition, even today it is believed that if a girl peels an apple before a mirror on Halloween, she will see the image of her future husband in the glass.

However, today's celebration of parties, and candy/gift giving follows the original version of Samuel’s day, as the original divination was Oracular utterances by the elder dead (Ancestors) who came up from their tombs on Halloween/All Souls Day, bearing gifts for the children of their living descendants. According to the pagan lunar calendar, festivals were celebrated on the "eve' rather than the day. Hence, Halloween or All Hallows' Eve, was the original festival that was later displaced to the following day. The Irish called this Holy Night, the Vigil of Saman.

Sicilian Halloween tradition states that, "the dead relations have become the good fairies of the little ones." There are many more traditions across Europe. Even in Lithuania, there were burn offerings of domestic animals to their god ZIMIENNIK(Samanik) believing that if the Lord of the underworld accepted the offering on behalf of the dead, the spirits would do no harm.

The Fact That Death is seen as an active force (The Dancing Skeleton) by the ancients but not an end to being, relates to the fact that Death, acts like the Dark Energy that pushes the Universe outward, by pushing Life forward. The objective Self, the Mortal Form, may fear its own demise, but the Subjective Self, (that is 99.6% of you) does not.

Spirit knows Death to be but a tool that transforms, as is Life, which Transforms Self Concepts into Self-Reality and/or Self in-form-action. In-Form-Action, makes it possible to experience information and thereby, creating personal knowledge, thereby making the Soul an infinite collective consciousness.

Transformation also defeats the stasis of entropy that can form as a viral parasite, trying to stop all movement in the individual it infects. Such stoppages are shown as addictions, indolence, fear paralysis, depressions, feelings of helplessness, obsession with conspiracy theories, "righteousness", jealousy, superiority, or inferiority complexes, etc. In other words, self-destructiveness.

On that note:

The celebration of Halloween Death, should be a celebration of the Spirit who survives mortality, knowing full well, that by owning your own beast based "survival Mind", you can push your Identity forward into the Invisible Universe---and be Lord over Death and/or Lord/Lady Life. Therefore, the Thoth Death Card is a Rebirth Card, where we drop the old, and become the new. Knowing that all is Mind/Psyche, and that everything is imagined into being which allows you to understand that I AM- is Truth and that all that you think you are, is merely an assumption; a fantasy or dream that you control by image-making, and rational measurement, and emoting self-thought into the environment. You are the Power that is Life, who has forgotten its Divinity. Declare it every day!

I AM Divine! I AM Magnificent Life who makes lifetimes.

Santa Muerte-Saint Death

After one has deconstructed the false ego, which has actual placed us in a mausoleum of lies, the Holy Death will infuse the aspirant with energy, talent (magic abilities), regeneration and support into whatever work we decide to do.

By analyzing this new field and the fertile energy we bring a new awareness into our Awake Consciousness. Here we create a synthesis that will form the architecture of our Great Work, which we will manifest in as I AM Spirit. Only excessive haste and ambition, of the false ego, will lead us to neglect the proper procedure of regeneration and thereby leading to finality and failure.

When the Death Card, ATU/ Key 13 is thrown, it implies:

  • Time, Age, and transformation.
  • Rarely does it symbolize physical death and only if borne out by the accompanying cards, such as the 10 of swords-Ruin-Swords being the traditional death suit.
  • For the Querent, this is the principle of letting go and moving on.
  • A rebirth out of old conditions.
  • A type of transitional metamorphosis which destroys something old to build something new.
  • The Realization of Life Power as it is released from past confines and revitalized by change and regeneration.
  • Psychology of letting go.
  • New opportunities.
  • Rebirth from one form into another.
  • Personality transformation.
  • No more dead weight of the Past.

If surrounded by ill-defined cards, it implies:

  • Resisting change.
  • Stagnation.
  • Inertia.
  • Pain of giving something up.
