dreams of gaia tarot-XV-abundance
The Dreams of Gaia-Key 15-Abundance, is also Fortune. Now I know I used this card before in another comparison, that is simply because the Dreams of Gaia Cards cover a group of feelings, actions and concerns. For instance, the Abundance card's key words are, love, abundance, consciousness, giving, receiving, energy, and appreciation. All of which have to do with personal fortune, as well as, the mental state needed to become abundant and/or most fortunate. Abundance is a state of plenty, and starts inside before it manifests outside. We must have feelings of gratitude, appreciation and feelings of love, for what we already have, before we become aware of the abundance around us. This opens the heart, and also opens up the consciousness. The soul is often called the "heart", and it is the source of your "self-consciousness" and/or personality. It is time to thank our souls for creating us in its own image. Fortune comes to those of fortunate thought; thought that is faithful and trusting of the Spirit that makes breath in the body. That is why this card depicts a woman, surrounded by the abundance of nature, and who is using her "dragon power" to manifest this abundance. The Inner Dragon, is the Inner Soul, and the "All" is yours to enjoy, and as any inheritance, you must claim your name to have an inheritance, you don' t have to "earn" it. That name is "I AM"... I Am wealth, I Am health, I AM Abundance....is how you claim your inheritance. "I don't have", "I am poverty", "I am lack" ," I am not", are how you claim "lack".
Be thankful for the food you eat, the clothes you wear, the water you drink, your residence, and the stuff you have. If you more or wish a high quality of stuff, just get busy and use your imagination. The best way is to create a "Treasure Map" and/or "Vision board". All this requires is to get some poster board, card board or cork board, and gather a bunch of magazines, whose pictures you can cut out (You may also just print some off of the internet). These pictures must be things, people or even animal companions that you want in your life. After you have acquired the poster board, cardboard or cork board, get a picture of yourself, just a picture of your face will do, and paste it or pin it, in the center of the vision board. The take the pictures of the people, places, animal companions or things, and paste or pin them around and circling your centered picture. Place the finished vision board on the refrigerator or on a wall that you look at everyday. The Unconscious, your Soul/Psyche, now views this item everyday, when you look at the vision board, and will begin the process of gathering these things for you in an unconscious manner. This puts your unconsciousness, the source of consciousness, to work for you, while you spend your day in conscious activities. And it works in "mysterious ways", for it doesn't require your worldly knowledge of "can or can't" nor is your income the outcome of what you receive. Let me tell you, every treasure map or vision board I have created and put up on my refrigerator, became true and I haven't needed a great gob of income to have them. Spirit works in the invisible world, and manifests its creations in the visible world. By creating your own Wheel of Fortune, the Soul whose language is pictures not words, will get busy and "stuff just comes" mysteriously. Be patient and trusting, and all will come.
Thinking that you must have a greater income, or must suffer through lack because of "the hand life has dealt you", is absolute crap. You are built as the Soul's self, and that Soul is telling itself a story that is you, in other words, you are the Soul entertaining itself. Since you are the Image of this Creative Sun/Soul, you can have whatever you want and get it in a good way for all concerned. But first, be grateful for the life you are now, and what you have now, so that your self-consciousness is open to the abundance of your Soul. Remember, the visible world is called the 1% world, and that means the most expansive and powerful part of you, the other 99%, is invisible and therefore, mysterious to your self-consciousness that relies on "seeing to believe". So keep "seeing" your vision board, and watch the abundance manifest in ways you would never have thought of. I AM the will, I AM the way, I AM the Wealth, I own the day! It is time you used your magus power. Remember, the Spirit helps those who help themselves, and this will help you gain. So do it! This is motion in the right direction.

Thoth- atu 10-fortune
The Thoth -ATU 10-Fortune-is called the Path of Caph (meaning Fist) and runs from Chesed (mercy) to Netzach (Victory) on the Tree of Life. This path is on the side of the Tree of Life called The Pillar of Mercy, and connects the Personality to the Higher Self (all Sephiroth above Tiphareth are in the Higher Self).
The Path of Caph, has a mediating function (vision board) and the planet Jupiter is assigned to this Path. Jupiter, is also said to govern the flow of blood, thus reinforcing the mediating function of Caph.
The letter Caph, is a "double letter', meaning that it is a union of opposites, riches and poverty, which are the natural fluctuations of Jupiter's forces on this path. Since this Path is one of the "Gateways to the Soul", the riches and poverty here are of the personalities self-consciousness .
The meaning of Caph (Kaph) is fist, and refers to a completion of an activity, such as, the closing of a circle or grasping comprehension.
This is a cycle, albeit a closed one, the Wheel of Fortune is considered a flow of Karma, which is a state in which you get what you put out. The Wheel is an important symbol, besides that of a prayer wheel, or a medicine wheel, it is also the cycle of birth, death and rebirth.
This is not a roulette wheel of chance and accidents, for in Qaballah, it is known that we are solely responsible for our own destinies which the words "freedom of choice" imply. The Wheel of Fortune supplies us with what we earn, which can be pleasant or unpleasant. Thinking in grateful and appreciative ways, makes life pleasant, to think in ungrateful or non appreciative ways, makes life unpleasant.
The interchange of opposites is what makes the wheel Spin, in this case, we have, the Feminine, Geburah: Severity, and the masculine Chesed: Mercy, interchanging their forces and form. This interchange of opposites, is shown by the 10 Spokes on the Thoth card, symbolizing the 10 Sephiroth on the Tree of Life which is a continuity of Force and Form, in equilibrium.
In his work, The Thirty Two Paths of Wisdom, Dr. Paul Foster Case calls the Path of Caph, the Intelligence of Conciliation which would best be seen as a gyroscope, two wheels interlocking within each other, spinning in opposite directions., for this card represents the mediation of activity between rotating and/or moving opposites. The sense being that there is a cyclic and rhythmic motion of activity, as well as, cause and effect.
What is interesting here, is that on the Thoth Card, the Sphinx is seen as the stabilizing element in the midst of change and is positioned on top of the Wheel. The ancient Egyptians used the Sphinx image as the Pharaoh, usually vanquishing his enemies, with lion like power. Later on the Greeks, modified the Sphinx by illustrating it as a women on a male lion's body. Thus, the Sphinx came to represent the union of mankind, with the raw power of the animal kingdom, and a balance of male (electric) and female (magnetic) in the same form. Again the union of opposites, is the birth place of all Power,
The Qabalistic concept of the Sphinx is that it is the Synthesis of all Elemental Forces, much like the Pentagram symbol of Man, where the Spirit is the Fifth element above and added to the four elements of the animal kingdom. In fact, among the documents of the Enochian Mysteries of the Golden Dawn, the Sphinx has four forms, that of a Bull, Eagle, Man and Lion. These four faces are also describe by Ezekiel in the Bible interpretation of his vision. The Wheel of Fortune, is the glyph of perpetual motion where the flying Eagle balances the Man; the roaring Lion counterpoises the laborious Bull.
As stated, the Sphinx represents the stabilizing element in the midst of change. It is both the balancing phase of cyclic energy and the guardian to the gateway of the Mysteries, holding the secret of life and death. Thus the Sphinx is a gate guardian of the Path of Caph (fist) as it is both that through which one passes in birth or death, and that which controls the passage.
The Sphinx also symbolizes the directing aspect of the Higher Self in Tiphareth (beauty) and being a Gate Keeper, it is protective and keeps the Personality from absorbing more force than its system can handle.
Above all things, Know thyself!
By correctly answering the question of the Sphinx, which is an extension of the Greek Axiom, Man, know thyself, implies that one is ready to pass through the gate of inner consciousness. As in the Oedipus legend, once correctly answered, the Sphinx throws itself back into the Sea which to a Qabalist means that the Gate keeper is no longer needed and is reabsorbed into the vast Ocean of Individual Higher Consciousness that created it. If the initiate can't answer the Sphinx's question, they are "slain" , which is the protection part of the Sphinx, as it sends back those personalities that are unready to pass consciously beyond the restrictions of time/space.
The dog faced monkey, on the left side of the wheel, is in reference to the Plutonian, Cynocephalus. Cynocephalus is the not only the companion of Thoth but also the symbol of time and eternity. Thoth, being called the Lord of Holy Words, by the Ancient Greeks and Egyptians, is the inventor of writing and the scribe for the Gods whose duty was to record the results of the weighing of the Souls on the Path of Lamed (See the Adjustment Card).
Thoth is also said to divided time into months, seasons and years. Thus, his companion is Cynocephalus, the symbol for time and eternity. In a nut shell, the Words of Thoth are the vibratory patterns that turn the Wheel of Fortune. Being quite esoteric here, the Wheel of Fortune means that when the Higher Self, that brings the Elements under control, it bestows upon the Personality that "knows itself" faithful companions that are the "words" (definitions), vibratory patterns, things, and companions, that free the Personality from the General Wheel of Fortune and/or Karma that governs the "sleeping souls" who "above all things don't know themselves.".
The Thoth Fortune card, depicts the interaction between the Sphinx, Hermanubis and Typhon, Hermanubis is a dual god, combining Horus and Anubis and is written as Heru-em-Anpu, meaning Horus as Anubis. Sword in hand, Heru-em-Anpu is often depicted in mythology as the slayer of Typhon, who is illustrated as a snake. Typhon was of Greek origin and was involved in the wars of supremacy of the Gods. But as time develops the complexity of Myths, Typhon became the dark aspect of Osiris known as Set. The combination of these symbols plays out the counter-changing influence of Light and Dark energy. In Quantum physics, Dark Energy is the Pushing Force, the "vibrations" that spins the universe and pushes it outward. Knowing this may cause one to wonder if "death" is the pushing force for Life. Here also is the "Pushing force" of the Unconscious and/or Psyche, for it will answer the "call " of the self-conscious, so call out in pictures of wealth, I AM wealth, I AM health, I AM the Will, I Am the Way, I own the day. Do that Vision Board! For Pictures/Images are the language off the unconsciousness. Be the image of your wealthy Soul!
