Crowley's Knight of Wands is armored, mounted upon a blazing black charger, and charges forward carrying a flaming wand. This is not merely a medieval warrior—it is the embodiment of living fire, the lightning flash of Divine Will racing across creation.
Unlike earthly kings who sit comfortably upon their thrones issuing commands, the Thoth Knight leads from the front. His philosophy is simple: "Why hold a committee meeting when you can charge the dragon?" Whether that is wisdom or simply excellent cardio depends entirely upon the surrounding cards.
Chokmah: The Second Sephirah
All Knights (Kings in traditional decks) correspond to Chokmah, the Second Sephirah on the Tree of Life.

The lion symbolizes courage, nobility, Solar consciousness, and mastery over instinct. Unlike the Thoth Knight's explosive charge, the Baroque King demonstrates controlled fire. His power no longer needs to prove itself through constant motion because it has matured into unwavering confidence. He inspires through presence as much as action.
Hermetically, he still represents Chokmah, the Divine Father and the Yod of YHVH, but expressed through regal stability rather than fiery momentum.
