Tarot personality birth wheel

As stated before, Binah, the 3rd Sephiroth and realm of the Queens, is the "will to form" and is a force that is imposed on the Pure Fiery Energy of Chokmah. She is known as Understanding, for an idea, once understood, can be molded into manifestation.

In Western Magic, these Queens are not Persons, but States of Conscious Energy, called "Beings" that are parts of the Divine Collective Unconscious, meaning the deep Imagination, where images are forms of ideas. Images are the only way to realize these deep inner layers of Mind and that before Mind. Tarot is one of the Image languages that has evolved over time. However, these Queens are also an archetype for personalities, and therefore, can represent a personality of a person born in their time frame as shown on the Tarot birth wheel. They can therefore, be used as a significator for the querent in the Celtic Cross Tarot layout.

Binah is the 3rd Sephiroth on the Tree of Life, and the Divine Feminine in the upper part called the Supernal Triangle, she is the essence of Womb, and I often call this state of Mind a "Womb with a View", because she conceives by understanding.

All the Queens, represent the Water in each suit. Water being Unconsciousness and emotion. They are enthroned in the Element of the Universal Collective unconscious and emotion (energy-in-motion) bring forth the Force of the King, by realization and understanding which develop the focus of that force. As conscious focus/observation does to emotionally charged idea for us.

The Queen of Disks, often called the Queen of Pentacles, is also Western Magic's Queen of the Thrones of Earth; Queen of the Gnomes.

Astrological attribution is last Decan of Sagittarius and the first two Decans of Capricorn. The Queen of Disks is Water of Earth, a specific consciousness in the Primal Earth element. Most of us call her "Mother Nature" or the more ancient name of Gaia (Gaea).

The Thoth Deck Queen of Disks is displaying her ruler ship over earth as shown in the crystal cubed scepter that has within it a three-sided Hexagram. Her zodiacal attribute to Capricorn is shown by the image of the Goat. Her Throne is vegetation as she is the life of such. She is the Highest Aspect of passivity and this is shown as a winding passive river flowing through and fertilizing waste land. The Great Work is ultimately expressed in fertility, where the "As the Above manifests in the Below". She as Queen, is the facilitator of manifestation.

The Disk on her left arm is curved with loops and spheres interlaced, representing the ambition of matter to take part in the Great Work. This ambition is often described as fecund motion. This is also shown by the Spiral Horns on Her helmet/crown, as Spiral force which is both Spirit and Vital Life Force. The reptilian patterned armor of the Queen represents the regenerative force in nature as serpents shed their skin to become more.

As a personality the Queen of Disks, symbolizes a mature woman with much experience in life who stands with both feet on the ground and knows how to protect what is entrusted to her. Here is the embodiment of vitality, and creativity who understands how to set boundaries and assert herself. Hence, patience sensuality and trustworthiness are her essential characteristics.

The tarot of spirit-earth mother

The Tarot of The Spirit-Earth Mother, also represents the Divine Feminine. Here one is experiencing a high level of compassion. The creative understanding and emotional force in your life must be quietly nurtured, cultivated ideas will soon bloom. This is a spiritual love of being. Loving every stick, stone, plant and animal will open one to receiving a great bounty. Earth is the Cornucopia.

When this card is thrown it implies that one must be diligently attuned to every detail of the work required as one tends their "garden" and/or life. Rejoice in your own life and help create a joyous life for others.

The Earth Mother card depicts a anthropomorphic image standing in the cosmic sea. Like a cypress growing out of a great water, she is growing up radiant and infinite (circular) bounty. The horned headdress represents the spirit of nature. The outer robe, is her robe of concealment, for light does conceal the true image and dazzle the eyes. Material force is held inside, therefore she is cradling material force (crystalline light), nurturing it, and understanding/training it into form.

The image on the Earth Mother card, represents the Primal Trinity Goddess, capable of the greatest manifestation and transformation.

Around the neck of this image, is the yoke, which first appeared around the neck of the Water Sister's Swan, indicating that Earth Mother has yoked the forces of nature. As we all know, what we control also controls us. Hence, the forces of nature have also yoked her. This yoke becomes her jewelry, her decoration, and her necklace. At the bottom of the yoke are the glyphs for Sagittarius and Capricorn.

When thrown during a reading, the Queen of Discs or Earth Mother represents:

  • A person interested in physical nutrition and health.
  • A shedding of poor eating habits for those of a new diet.
  • A shedding of old habits, or even the purchasing of new clothes.
  • The querent does all things she can do, well and it will be fruitful
  • One of a high level of compassion, nurturing abilities.
  • Loving physical life and all it has to offer.
  • One who is exceptionally procreative and nurturing, as in the nature of Mothering.
