The Tarot of Eli-Minor Arcana: Thoth Tarot- 6 of Swords-Science & The Tarot of The Ages- Six of Swords

Western Qabalistic and Tantric Tarot Card Comparisons.

Science.

The complete interpretation of this cardis the perfect balance of all mental and moral facilities, hardly won and almost impossible to hold in an ever-changing world of propaganda and misdirection. The 6 of Swords is the science of the mind that is both objective and fair-witnessing.

The 6 swords, suggesting the form of the unicursal hexagram, all join in the center of the Rosy cross; a Rosicrucian Cross, which is the universal symbol of integration, synthesis and blessing. This Rosy Cross indicates that the 6 of Swords represents the integrative mind that recognizes sources of inspiration that are sometimes unexplainable. The holistic mind is symbolized by the circle while the crystalline diamond represents the crystal clear creative mind. There is only One Mind for all is Mind, but it has many operational aspects that can consider many thoughts at once (the many pinwheels in the background) and integrating them into a whole clarity that is objectively communicated in such a way as to present a new perspective that is otherwise unseen.

Mercury by John W. Kelly

Mercury is seen at the top of the card and Aquarius at the bottom, symbolizing Mercury in the house of Aquarius. Mercury is the winged messenger (clear communication) and Aquarius is the New Age (new perspectives) symbolizing the ability to communicate new ideas in such an objective way that they are easily understood and heard. In a less mythical bent, Mercurial is what our personality is made to be by the Soul/Psyche, the one you were born with before being possessed by the Patriarchal Persona of the Culture and/or "man-made group soul".

Each one of us is to bring the messages/information (in-form-action) of the "Heavenly Human" to this world of manifested homo sapiens sapiens. In Egyptian-Western Qabalah, the "Heavenly Human", is known as Horus, in Western Qabalah, the Heavenly Human is called Adam Khadmon. We are that by inheritance form the Divine Creative as its own "image".

Since time immemorial, beings who came from the sky, were always drawn with wings. The Heavens they came from were pointed out as star systems in the night sky. If one even bothered to study the writings of the many past civilizations, and some that still exist, they would find that the "heavens" are what we are exploring with satellites and telescopes today. Hence, not to expound to deeply on this, we are "Children of God", that god being a Scientific Alien Race of Astronauts. We are colonists whose parents are "Those who from the sky came" and/or Anunnaki , as written about on over 500 clay tablets of the Sumerians. Or if you want more recent, the images that decorate the Mayan stone pyramids. We can even get more recent, for the Dogon of Mali, still say that we are a created/GMO of Aliens called the Nomo in their language, who came from the area of the sky that we call Sirius. Therefore, we have the ability to bring to this animal survival world, the high tech civilized mind of the Archetypal Race for our Souls/Psyche came from "the Heavens". For this mercurial messenger of the Gods, is our very own DNA. However, to bring the knowledge of our ancient forefathers through, we must "Above all things, know thyself" and not be a product of a culture or group soul of a race that has substituted superstitious religion for the Divine Creative who sends "Alien scientist" all over the Stars to terraform the Homo Sapiens Sapiens. That is why the double helix and/or twin intertwined serpents are shown as a sacred symbol in most ancient societies and Mercury's caduceus wand. For it is the DNA, and we are from the DNA of Earth and "The Stars", by the scientific art of genetic engineering. You can't find a better "space suit" and/or protective clothing, than from the material of the planet you land on for it is already perfected organic material.

The word Human is from two root words, Hu-Mandarin meaning 'god' and Man from the Hindu word Manas-meaning Mind. Hence, even that word tells you that you have inherited the "god mind"; the Mind of the Divine Creative!

In reiteration, the Tarot Minor cards are all under the rule of a Sephiroth, in the case of the 6's, it is the Sephiroth Tiphareth- Beauty. The adept will find the initiation of Tiphareth the first of the Greater Initiations into the meaning of self. This Tiphareth initiation is literally a scarifying of all that we know to be self, and life as we have lived it. Here the sacrifice is not relinquishing the much desired something, but rather a transition of Force, from that of the will of lesser consciousness to the Pure Will of the Greater Self. "Thy will be done" rather than, "my will be done'.

The Four 6's are about definite accomplishment and carrying out of a matter.

`THE 6 OF SWORDS- Science card is also called: Lord of Earned Success the Angels (Those who from the sky came) of the Decan are: Rehaayal and Yeyezeil. The 6 of Swords is influenced by Tiphareth in the Astral World [Yetzirah].

The air sign of Aquarius, is ruled by Saturn, which tends to stabilize the fleeting qualities of Mercury. The positioning of Mercury in Aquarius, a Mind sign, leads naturally to science and humanitarianism so success is the result of Saturn's work in this aspect. Now the cutting power of Swords is turned toward the positive, and the Rose is resurrected after being war torn in the Fives of Swords, related to the Severity of Geburah. In the 6 of Swords, the swords all come together at a point in the restored Rose Cross of 6 squares, which Crowley calls, “The Rose Cross at the central secret of Scientific Truth." Thus, we have the definitive meaning of "success after anxiety and trouble", for the Way of the Cross is suffering before ascension. Here, Tiphareth shows the perfect balance and idea of the card, as all moral and mental faculties are perfectly balanced, won by great effort, but hard to hold in an ever-changing world of political propaganda and commercialized morality.

Again, depending on the accompanying cards. When this card is thrown it indicates that in the next 6 weeks or 6 months it is important to look at things as they are rather than what you want them to be. It is important to be clear in your own mind so that you can successfully communicate new ideas or decisions in such a way as to be non threatening and easily heard. This card can also indicate that you should make a special effort to communicate clearly to the important Aquarian people in your life (January 21 to February 21). The Science-mind is clear, sharp and free of confusion, uncluttered with "should have beens" and "wannabes". It is a rare state of mind that is important to utilize if one wishes to know themselves.

The Tarot of The Ages- Six of Swords, is displaying a Norse scene. Above the couple drawing the circle and rosy cross design in which are placed 6 swords forming a hexagram. Above them flys a hawk, the symbol for Horus and/or the "Heavenly Human". In the background is a megalithic pattern of large standing stones; much like those found a Stonehenge in England. Stonehenges is thought to be a creation for astrological science in the ancient past. So, here are depicted 2 Norse practicing the science of the time.

By the way, the Norse also believed we are a progeny of Gods who came down from the sky. In matter of fact, most of the old "myths" that are not really myths, believed we are progeny of "those who from the sky came". Since, the Rosy Cross of Metaphysical science and Horus are used in this card's illustrations, the same divinatory meanings apply to both the Thoth and Tarot of The Ages 6 of swords.

When thrown during a reading, the 6 of swords implies that the querent is:

  • Objective, logical and prone to logical thinking.
  • Showing strong analytical ability, and displays logical scientific thinking both internally and outwardly.
  • In 6 weeks or 6 months, problems will be ended, because the correct, logical things have been done or are being done.
  • Communication patterns are logical, reliable and promote problem solving.
  • There is a general acceptance of attitudes and belief systems that promote rhythmic and cyclic life style.
  • The ability to see things as a whole objective perspective. Here, the mind is watching itself and aids in passage from one world of conscious perspective to another.
  • A trip or journey.
  • Travel or voyage (because of mercury in Aquarius).
  • Head strong attempts to overcome difficulties.
  • Expedient manner.

If ill defined by surrounding cards:

  • Stalemate.
  • Unwanted proposal.
  • No immediate solution to present difficulties.
  • Confession.
  • Declaration.
